What is happiness and how to find it?

Happiness is a very difficult topic. Everyone asks the question "what is happiness and what is it", and if it were possible to derive its universal formula, then it could change the world.

But happiness for me is a kind of process in which what is inside and what I do outside correspond to each other. When what I do, who I love, who I live with and the choices I make are in line with who I am.

Happiness is when I am able to choose my life, and to choose again every second. Without betraying yourself.

Sometimes happiness is associated with positive emotions, but this is not always the case. We are happy every day, every minute, but we do not always experience joy.

For example, the midlife crisis in my case was quite long. For about 5 years, I was turned over from personal transformations, and I kept thinking when it would end. I had a huge volume of anxiety, I was very scared to live. For the first time, I felt that I did not know what would happen tomorrow.

But what is remarkable is that not a single second in that crisis did I lose the feeling of happiness. My life was full, I felt like a happy person. I am scared, anxious, sometimes I am in a wild time trouble, but I am happy.

Why, then, do other people who experience a wild amount of anxiety say they are not happy?

It’s not anxiety, but the way we treat it

Do you know the feeling that you are experiencing anxiety, and you feel good about it? There is anxiety that you feel with a touch of inspiration. You want to change something in your life. The fact that there is you, perhaps, does not suit you very much, and that you want something new is in no way guaranteed. But as long as you have creativity and inspiration, you are happy.

And there is anxiety that weighs you down. You are afraid of what is happening to you, you do not know what to do, and you try to stop her.

The key thing about happiness is if you are trying to fight the processes of your life, happiness is impossible … But if you are trying to give your life the opportunity to realize itself, with your help, this is really the path to happiness.

Recently, there has been a lot of talk about a healthy lifestyle. WHO suggests several criteria for how to live healthy, the main ones of which are physical activity, proper nutrition and positive thinking. What do I think about these criteria? Do they lead to health and happiness as claimed by the WHO?

Sport

It's good to do sports, it's cool. But only if the sneakers you approach in the morning are an extension of yourself. If you pull yourself out of bed by your ears, start running, and force yourself to run, that's okay too. But when you run the third kilometer, curse your every step this morning and never get pleasure from it, think about whether it makes sense for you to run. Is there another sport that makes you happy? Or maybe this is not a sport?

This applies to any kind of activity. If you force yourself and don't get high, you move in any direction, just not to health.

Food

Obviously, eating a lot of food that is high in cholesterol and fat is unhealthy. Everyone knows that. The question is, how do you feel about nutrition. One of the best diets imaginable is being in tune with your body. Provided that you are sensitive to what is happening to you, you will want exactly what and in the amount that you need. No diets. Overeating in this case is simply impossible. And you will choose exactly those foods that will lead you to a state of health.

Thinking well

Positive Thinking - Is there anything wrong with thinking positive thoughts? Problems come when we force ourselves to think positively. For example, we are not satisfied with the current situation, but decided that this is a wonderful experience that we will rely on in life. If we betray and deceive ourselves with this thought, nothing good will happen. This is not positive thinking, it is self-deception. And self-deception cannot be beneficial either for health or for happiness.

But if we fell, got up and realized how cool it is - this is also positive thinking. Only in this case it is an extension of yourself.

A healthy lifestyle is only good when you are real.
