Today I want to talk to you about femininity.
This topic is controversial and in places very hackneyed.
In addition, femininity is often subject to various "fashion" trends that have changed over time.
There was a time when “cutesy” and flirtatious femininity was in vogue.
She was intelligent.
Was in vogue, and more than once, "strong" femininity.
In recent times, there has been a wave of "Vedic" femininity.
Then there were those who began to actively stigmatize the image of a stay-at-home woman, claiming that happiness and femininity are in a career.
In fact, every kind of femininity has its own meaning. Those who assert that it is necessary this way, and not otherwise, are wrong.
We are all individuals. And for some, peaceful femininity is natural, flourishing in caring for family and children. And for some, on the contrary, “strong” femininity is relevant, which is strengthening in society and development.
Therefore, any woman trying to try on "not her" form of femininity will sooner or later face disappointment. And it's good, if not with neurosis or depression.
The most popular femininity of recent years has been the "Vedic" one. Therefore, the problems of women who turn to me for help are often associated with her.
I have great respect for the Vedas. But at the same time, against the universalization of femininity and the promotion of traditions and rituals, which are not suitable for everyone in the modern world.
The "Vedic" femininity fell well on our culture after the period of the USSR, when women laid sleepers, worked in heavy production and, in general, stopped a galloping horse. It is quite natural that women are tired of being both a woman and a man, and a horse, and a bull. I wanted tenderness. But the pendulum swung sharply in the other direction, creating a wave of side effects. Women began to try on a new kind of femininity, like a new dress. But not everything goes to the figure that is fashionable. So it is here. Not every woman feels fulfilled, doing only housework, children and pleasing her husband. And the consequences do not last long: disappointment, suppressed emotions, an internal conflict between needs and "fashion." All this fills the cup and turns into an external family conflict. With what they come to me for a consultation later. And these are only those who come. And many women also experience this conflict in themselves, without asking for help.
But a new fashion is already brewing, again denying female domesticity, promoting the social realization of women, pushing the family into the background. Again, this may not work for everyone. Again, the new "fashionable" femininity will be tried on like a dress.
And again, failed femininity.
Remember, femininity is different. Listen to yourself. Feel your own femininity.
