The trauma of violence is perhaps the most severe trauma in the world, as it is associated with the violation of all possible boundaries: legal, physical, moral and intimate; inflicting monstrous damage to the psyche in the most defining (in fact, central) place - in the place of basic human needs for safety, security and protection. The life of a person who has experienced such a trauma is symbolically poisoned, trust in the opposite sex is seriously undermined, and close relationships are threatened.

What to do? How to help?

Therapeutic communication program

1. First of all, I would like to note the following: psychological trauma should be environmentally friendly, but qualitatively (that is, completely, deeply) responded by the client and, as a result, removed from the inner space of the personality completely, without a trace

- In this regard, the image of a trauma can be drawn more than once, tinkered, and then painted over, broken, destroyed and thrown out of the joint working field.

- A story that once happened should be symbolically exasperated with tears, singing or screaming (until the pain subsides, it does not subside).

- The image of the rapist can be "spread" through the power struggle with the pear.

- It is also very useful to organize virtual meetings with the offender, in which the offended person rewards the offender as he deserves.

I once described this technique. I will note after the completed results have passed: the request has been successfully resolved. Link to case description:

FEAR OF SLIDING. PLEASURE AND FEAR. ANALYSIS OF ONE WORK.

Separately, I will note the following: if the offender was not exposed in a timely manner, it is never too late to give him what he deserves, not only in the imaginary practice, but also in the patient's life reality. Today, working with a similar story, I advised the girl - albeit with a delay - to report the offender to the appropriate authorities in order to: 1. restore personal justice and 2. stop the atrocities of a rapist she knows.

Victims of violence (under the influence of prolonged numbness after shock) often do not take the necessary measures to catch the malicious violator; because they are deeply paralyzed by their trauma.

2. In the next step, we heal the abused inner part of the person, by analogy with the very similar work of healing the inner child.

What magic tool do we use to do this?

I ask the reader a question.

Think!

I will give you a hint …

Through the unconditional love of our inner parent!

In my archive there is a video with wellness practices of working with an inner, soulful child.

Let me introduce you?

This kind of material can also be used in the therapy of healing the disturbed part of the personality.

3. And then (based on the results of the response and healing of the disturbed part of the personality), the harmful story should be "rewritten" - through fairy tale therapy, work with the image in the EOT strategy or the method I proposed - I will leave it for the readers, I will show it …

Exercise "Psychological Mobius strip". Transition to a new role-playing picture

So, I have outlined the main programmatic provisions of psychological work with the trauma of violence. Briefly and in general terms. I think readers understand that real therapy requires depth and duration. And one more important addition: in the course of all therapeutic communication, the psychologist provides permanent psychological support, which nourishes the client, fills it with positive content, improves the inner harmony, gives strength and faith in the future, in oneself. Psychological traumas (similar to physical ones) require serious healing, long-term rehabilitation and support! Let's treat such breakdowns responsibly!
