You are physically ill. What does this mean? Increased anxiety has not only emotional consequences, but also physiological ones - it can be dizzy, sweating, dry mouth, heart palpitations, nausea and headache. These are just a few factors that indicate anxiety

However, if you have a headache, it doesn't always indicate anxiety. How to evaluate a feature? Two or more factors coincide - we are talking about anxiety. Sweating is almost directly related to anxiety, dizziness when, like, regular and persistent headache (you do not understand what to do with it, conventional remedies do not help) also speak of anxiety. There are also physiological reasons, so do not ignore doctors, get tested. If the tests are normal, dizziness is a consequence of anxiety, panic attacks, etc.

  1. You get tired often. If you had an increased workload today or for 2-3 days, you were asked to stay for a few hours, or something happened in your family, fatigue will be the norm. However, if you notice that you feel tired and ache in your body, but you are not doing anything special, this may be a sign of anxiety.

Why is this happening? Fatigue in this case is associated with the production of cortisol with increased anxiety for our fear (we are afraid, because something may happen, it can be both fictional and real danger). However, the body does not see the danger or does not understand what it is, but cortisol continues to be produced. So, the problem has not been eliminated, since it is not clear what exactly caused the anxiety, cortisol is being produced, the body still has not calmed down. Subsequently, the brain simply gets tired of working under the pressure of the hormone, especially if it happens every day, there is a general internal feeling of fatigue.

  1. You may have muscle tension, often localized (eg, clamps in the jaw, shoulder, shoulder blade, lower back). You cannot control this tension. How does it manifest itself? Your body reacts to the accumulated cortisol and to the sense of danger with muscle tension (what if you need to run after 5 minutes?). But … you never have to run, because this is just an internal state of anxiety, and the body continues to keep the body in good shape. Sometimes it comes to the point that a person cannot even get out of bed in the morning, the pain in the muscles is so strong, so people often resort to pills.

  2. You cannot sit still - this reason is common to many people. And this is not related to temperament (not counting people who are active in life - choleric people). Often, such restlessness has formed recently. You can independently analyze your life, figure out when you suddenly wanted to do something all the time, move somewhere (for example, walk in a circle in the room while you think or talk on the phone; constant change of actions - watched the series and quit, took guitar, book, game - threw). All these examples indicate that you cannot concentrate due to anxiety, and the habit of doing several things at the same time indicates increased anxiety.
  3. You do not sleep well - and this moment is very serious and important. Even if the listed points are not typical for you, and we are not talking about anxiety, poor sleep is a very bad symptom. A large number of psychosis begins with insomnia. Against the background of an important event, presentation or speech, a bad dream is quite explainable, but if it is not clear why you cannot fall asleep, you often wake up in the morning or during the night, sleep less than 6 hours a day, toss and turn, and when you wake up, you feel overwhelmed and you can only think about sleep - this is a very important symptom, and it is worth contacting a neuropathologist, psychiatrist, psychotherapist.

So, if you find 2 or more items from the list, and they appear for at least a month, there is a high probability that you have increased anxiety. What to do with it? A deep study is needed, because often the foundation of anxiety is laid at a very early age and remains deep in the unconscious. Many people try to translate it into the unconscious, live with it, translate into goals, walks, or something else. All this works temporarily and smoothes out over time. That is why it is necessary to work here in psychotherapy in order to eradicate this aching sensation at a deep level.
