Woe from wit.

You've probably heard this expression).

Grief from the mind is much more common than "happiness from the mind."

This is because people who are inclined to think, seeing the world and everything that is in it, do the following: analyze, compare and then get upset, angry, sad because of the imperfection and injustice of everything that surrounds us.

As a rule, we call smart people those who:

Read

Has an education (maybe even several)

An expert in one area or even several

Intellectuals capable of reasoning and sorting things out

Wise, knowledgeable people

And there is also such a mind - everyday, practical.

People who possess it do not necessarily graduate from college or read all the classics of world literature. They may write erratically and not be interested in history. They don't spend decades acquiring expertise in economics or any other field.

But they somehow manage to achieve a lot and they become truly successful and … happier.

What's the secret?)

They count well.

This is not about the ability to extract the square root of complex numbers.

They just know how to count their time, opportunities and money well. Such resource management.

Everyone knows stories about poor children who grow up to achieve success and financial well-being.

It's not just luck. It is the ability to allocate your resources, take risks and have a flair for when to stop or abandon an undertaking (or refuse others)).

2. They are not ashamed to ask and learn new things.

Just as it is impossible to fill up for the future or get enough sleep for a lifetime, it will also not work to stock up on knowledge until the end of your century.

People with a pragmatic mind quite easily admit that they lack information or knowledge to achieve a goal or simply to live well.

Figuratively speaking, they notice "what is missing in the soup" and find it. At the same time (which is very important) they do not set themselves the task of making the best soup in the world.

3. They make their life easier, not more difficult.

We start to work harder, try harder, come up with additional options when something does not work out for us - thereby complicating the process and life in general.

In fact, the pragmatic approach dictates not to “finish building the next floor” in your life, but, on the contrary, to cut off unnecessary things, focusing on the more important and valuable.

Sometimes it takes drastic action, a kind of leap forward, but it's worth it.

For example, you can save money for a trip once a year, denying yourself everything. Or you can just master a new profession and leave to live where it is always summer)

Do you think this is too complicated?)

In fact, all of this can be learned.

Here's a simple homework assignment.

Think about the things that are making your life difficult or taking too much of your time right now.

Think of three ways to make it easier.

What do you need for this? Who do you need to ask for help, or what information are you missing?

What are the first steps you need to take to do this?

The answers to these questions can be the beginning of your more enjoyable and successful life)
