From the author: Fear of aging arises at different ages, the basis is always the need to leave unchanged what, according to the concept of development and evolution, is subject to change. The fear of aging often hides competition with the design of the Universe and the distortion of one's spiritual development. What is the fear of aging? This is an alarming, obsessive state of fear of physical changes in the body with the passage of age. This fear is also called the Dorian Gray syndrome, in honor of the character in the novel by O. Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
The character of this novel had a very beautiful appearance, which was admired by those around him, depicting him in a portrait. And then one day, he was frightened by his thought that his beauty and youth were not eternal, and having lost it, he would not be interesting to those around him. He was so scared that he wished to change places with the portrait, and remain forever young. His desire was fulfilled, his portrait grew old, every time Dorian performed an act that was contrary to his spiritual values. At the same time, he himself remained young and lived his life with maximum pleasure.
Yielding to temptation and betraying his moral values, Dorian did not care much about others, the most valuable thing for him was his own delight. His life was filled with base deeds, he did not value the feelings and experiences of the people around him, he stopped appreciating those who love him.
All our actions, thoughts and feelings are reflected on the face, in the eyes and are imprinted in the form of a mimic mask. Our entire inner world manifests itself, as in a mirror, in the form of facial expressions, through which we create a message to others.
Have you noticed that some old people are smiling, active, with a warm look to whom you want to approach and talk, while others are not. A person manifests inner light in the event that there is an acceptance of his life, as something more than the outer parameters and boundaries of the body. Such stability is given to people by the idea of oneself as a source of spiritual strength, in actions, bright thoughts about oneself and the world, through the emotions of joy, love and gratitude to life, to one's nature.
In this case, there is a feeling of acceptance for external changes, for wrinkles on the face and gray hair. Acceptance of your maturity is acceptance of gratitude for the experience gained, which, regardless of positive or negative assessment, brings wisdom. This is the gift of life that can be acquired only in old age, through the living of one's years. Wisdom is that power of the inner world that, through the experience of external aging, accepts the eternal values of life: love, warm relationships with each other, support, care, friendship, faith, gratitude, learning new things and much, much more.
In the case of Dorian, a reflection of his inner world was a life-size portrait painted by his friend. He created a cult of eternal youth for himself, believing that this is the only value for which he betrayed his feelings and relationships every time, becoming a demonically cruel and cynical person.
He considered himself God, stepping over the pain and death that he created around him. When he was fed up with entertainments and pleasures from life, they ceased to bring him the meaning of existence. His soul was tormented in search of consolation, through which he eventually came to the conclusion that pleasure and happiness are not the same thing at all. In his life experience, he acquired the wisdom that only that which is not eternal is of special value.
He was torn from the feeling of hatred that he felt for the aging portrait, when he saw on it the traces of the pain, evil and destruction that he caused to others by his actions. The feeling of realizing that his whole life was spent in the abyss of debauchery brought meaninglessness to the years he lived and the life that passed under the guise of a handsome, not aging 20-year-old man. At the same time, the aging, decaying portrait became a symbol of the soul that he betrayed, inflicting pain for the sake of pleasures, seducing those around him with his eternally young appearance. It all ended in tragic consequences, Gray eventually committed suicide, inflicting crushing blows on the portrait with a knife.
Once upon a time, an old man revealed to his grandson one life truth:
- In every person there is a struggle, very similar to the struggle of two wolves. One wolf represents evil: envy, jealousy, regret, selfishness, ambition, lies. Another wolf represents goodness: peace, love, hope, truth, kindness, and loyalty.
The grandson, moved to the depths of his soul by the words of his grandfather, pondered, and then asked:
- And which wolf wins in the end?
The old man smiled and replied:
- The wolf you feed always wins.

Why Am I Not Afraid Of Betrayal And Meanness
"They only betray their own" French proverb One of the most traumatic experiences is the pain of betrayal. Such an event can radically change life - a person ceases to trust, becomes isolated. Betrayal is most often considered treason, but it can be abandonment in trouble and failure to fulfill previously assumed obligations.
