For most, January 1 is a preparatory day. He's like an echo of last year. Such a bridge between the joy of meeting and the sadness of parting, between the past and the future, between reality and dreams. Probe. Draft. You can wake up late and fall asleep again, no one calls or writes. Lazy viscous mood smoothly flows from festive oblivion into awareness of new plans.

On this day, many write new year resolution - plans for the year. I'm not an exception. Moreover, as a person who spends most of his life in front of a computer and lives in the rhythm of the beat of the keys, I write this list exclusively by hand. This allows me to fill the paper with the magic of words, which plays an important role in the fulfillment of desires.

Let me give you some practical tips to help you find the strength to bring most of what you've written to life in the new year:

Don't write long lists. "A lot" does not always equal "good". Sometimes less is more. Everyone knows that 20% of the effort gives 80% of the result. So it's not the length of the list that matters, but the quality of the execution. Highlight the main thing - what will really change your life. And concentrate on that.

Choose one global target, under the sign of which this year will pass. In my case, this is my son's health. For me, nothing is more important, and, therefore, it is the achievement of this goal that will determine the success of the road ahead. In your case, it can be self-realization, building a family, conquering new professional heights, establishing relationships with loved ones. This global goal should reflect your highest priority and highest priority. And be sure to be the ONLY one. If you write a lot of global goals, then most likely you will not be able to concentrate on each one as much as it takes to achieve it. And as a result, chasing two birds with one stone, you risk not catching one.

Make a clear plan actions to achieve this goal. Be as specific as possible here. The more subtasks you can identify, the more likely it is that you will move towards achieving your goal, rationally distributing forces and using all available opportunities. If your global goal is "to become desirable", then the subtasks will cover an incredibly wide range of very specific changes - from changing the external image to rethinking the internal content. This will include defining a new style (hairstyle, figure, clothes) and understanding myself (who I am and what I want from myself and others), and accepting my strengths and weaknesses (I am poor at expressing my emotions, but I am a very rational person and easily I can draw up a successful business plan) and work out possible strategic actions.

Think positively. Visualize. Imagine that what you want has already been achieved. And do this not with the aim of changing reality (although, I do not deny such possibilities of self-hypnosis), but in order to achieve a clear understanding of what will give you the desired result. Often we are so absorbed in the process of "chasing a dream" that we lose sight of why we actually need this dream. What will the global goal of “getting wanted” give you? What is behind this aspiration? What complexes are you trying to get rid of? What ambitions do you want to realize? There is a deep inner reason behind every desire. Visualization of the result will help to highlight and understand it.

Don't be afraid to change anything. You are free to adjust your plans as you go. You have the right to abandon the original goal and turn the other way. There is nothing wrong with conquering the smaller peak first. Not everyone has the inner resources and discipline to fly to Olympus instantly. Someone has to go in a roundabout way. And this does not mean that in the process this someone will not acquire a lot of valuable skills and friends. Or it may turn out that his goal is not Olympus at all, but, on the contrary, the depths of the sea. And that's fine too.

Don't be afraid to be wrong … If everyone around you seems ideal, purposeful and successful, do not rush to give up and refuse to change simply because you do not have the strength to comply. If you did not succeed in solving something at a run, this does not mean that you will not be able to solve the problem in parts. Water wears away a stone - this is not a metaphor, but a guide to action.

Live at your own pace … You should never compare yourself with others. You have your own path, your own life, your goals and, possibly, a different rhythm. This is fine. It's never too late to get around a problem from the other side and take a fresh look at it. And, perhaps, it is your non-standard approach that will turn out to be the most correct. In the end, what matters is not someone else's opinion, but your personal feeling and satisfaction from achieving your goal.

Understand what drives you. Patience, work, perseverance - all this is wonderful, but it is possible only with a clear understanding for WHOM you are doing it. On closer inspection, it turns out that half of our list is the desires of others. They are not ours, they were not invented by us, and we do not need them. This is largely due to mistakes, failures and unfulfilled New Year's obligations. So, before you add something to your wish list, make sure that you really need it personally.

Correct the list along the way. Supplement and cross out. Change directions and priorities. Work with the vector and adapt to new circumstances. Unfortunately, not everything in life depends on us. There are factors that change arbitrarily, and they must be taken into account when making adjustments to the original plan.

Believe in success. No matter how trite it sounds, it is faith that can overcome any obstacles in your path. Do not put a spoke in your wheels - others will gladly do it. Love yourself and praise yourself. After all, the mere fact that on January 1 you found the strength to think about future changes is already worth a lot.

Strength and good luck on your way!
