To whom at school did the teachers say: “first, laziness was born, and then you”?

I remember how ashamed I was! After all, I'm so lazy, no match for diligent excellent students. For me it was on a par with such words as a fool, stupid, narrow-minded, incapable. However, I did not want to catch up with the excellent students, I was far from them (in my opinion). At the same time, in grade 6-7, I set myself the goal of enrolling in foreign languages in the capital. She voiced her to her parents, undertaking the obligation to bring humanitarian subjects to 4 and 5 (according to the old education system). It was then that teaching at school took on some meaning and clarity.

Now it's not about this period in my life, but about laziness. I consider myself a very lazy person. When I graduated from the first university, I thought with sadness: "Damn, this will now have to work for half my life." By the way, for some reason I measure my life at 100 years old. Those. the prospect of working for 50 years of my life did not inspire me at all.

Laziness is my friend, after all, she was the first to be born. And now, looking at my life, I see how this quality helps me.

So, what useful and important laziness gave me:

  • It helped to set a goal, as a result of which I protected myself from studying those school subjects that I did not need.
  • She taught me to listen, especially in literature and history lessons, so that later I would not read books and be able to answer the teacher.
  • I developed my attentiveness so as not to waste extra time on asking questions, reworking, and so on.
  • She taught me to ask clarifying questions and clarify all the details.
  • Helped find ways to make the workflow as easy as possible.
  • Has led to shorter working hours per week and a freer schedule.
  • Helped to organize the process of cooking in such a way that a minimum amount of time is spent, few dishes are used, and the dishes are excellent.
  • She taught me to put things in place right away, wash dishes, keep clean in space.
  • Helped to find a dressmaker and reduce the time spent on shopping in search of something beautiful and as unique as possible.

The more laziness we have, the more we look for opportunities not to do what we don't want to do. We also gravitate towards a certain perfectionism, as we understand that it is better to do everything at once with the highest quality. At the same time, in case of failure, we make an analysis with conclusions, and try not to step on the same rake several times.

Laziness includes us, in a certain sense of the word. It activates internal mechanisms responsible for quality, planning, creativity. She teaches others to trust tasks, and over time, a flair for finding the right people can develop.

What I also love to be lazy for is because I know how to ask others for something. Yes, we can learn to do a lot ourselves. But why? If there are those who already know how and can help. In this regard, there is a kind of exchange between people. There is something I can help with without putting in a lot of effort. I don't need to strain and reinvent the wheel for this. Thus, thanks to laziness, we can help each other.

Therefore, before you write down laziness as your main disadvantage, think about what you have thanks to it.
