Your personal life path diagram

During a crisis, a person turns to face himself. A crisis always has 2 poles: negative and positive.

Let's make a map of the age crises you've lived through, which will clearly demonstrate what happened on the path of life:

Take a pen and draw the line shown below on a piece of paper. Then put on it the point where you ended up as a result of living this crisis: in the middle, closer to zero, closer to the negative pole or positive pole. You do not have accurate information, but a certain conclusion can be drawn from the stories of your relatives about your early childhood.

How did your mother treat you as a baby, how did she look after you? Was she with you this entire period, or was someone else looking after you? Were you a calm child or moody and sickly? Are the stories of relatives filled with light joy or dull weight?

So here's the first line - put your full stop:

0-2 Infancy

Trust in the World + _0_ - Mistrust

Now draw the second line and your point. Relatives' stories to help you. Perhaps there are early memories of my own. What period was it: fun-light-hearted or oppressively gloomy? How does this age sound: closer to + or -?

2-4 Playing age

Autonomy + _0_ - Shame

Draw the next line and put a dot that characterizes your experience of the third crisis.

How did this period go? Have you been scolded, beaten, humiliated, or treated with care and respect? Were you forbidden, criticizing and shaming, or were you allowed to unfold a child's soul to the fullest? What kind of child do you remember yourself: an energetic runaway who smashed everything in his path or a crushed quiet one, sadly sitting in a corner or an inquisitive know-it-all, sorting out the clock to understand what is ticking there. What kind of child were you? The answer will help you find your point on the line. If the memories are warm and grateful, then your point is located in the positive zone from 0 to +. And if from memories it becomes bad and painful, then the point will find its place in the negative zone from 0 to -.

4-6 Preschool age

Initiative + _0_ - Guilt

What was the fourth crisis like for you?

How was the study given: how did you master literacy, calligraphy and reading? Did you have chores around the house or were you carelessly driving around in the yard?

What events and feelings marks this age?

Is it easy or sad for you to remember this? Put your point on the line:

6-12 Junior school age

Hard work + _0_ - Inferiority Complex

How did your teenage years go? What was your relationship with your parents? Did you hang out in a teenage get-together or while away the evenings at home lonely? What kind of music have you lost your mind? When did you first fall in love? What fascinated you the most?

You managed to find answers to the questions: Who am I? What am I? What I like? What is not? What and who is suitable, and who is destroying my life and destiny?

What halo surrounds that driving age?

Memories will guide your hand and put an end to the line of your early youth:

12-17 Teenage years 17-22

Ego-Identity + _0_ - Confusion of Identity

Often immature young people build emotionally codependent relationships. When a person depends on the mood, views and behavior of another person. In this destructive connection, there are no separate individuals, only "we". It is a complex relationship and ultimately leads to the pole of Isolation.

Is it about you or have you found yourself and built a healthy relationship of Intimacy and Affection with Another person?

Put your point on the line of the sixth crisis:

22-34 Youth

Proximity + _0_ - Insulation

Are you creatively realizing your potential, gushing with new ideas, or are you in the clutches of a suffocating stagnation?

What's your point on the line:

34-60 Maturity

Generative + _0_ - Stagnation

If you are living this age, answer: Are you proud or ashamed of your life? Your point on the line:

60-75 Elderly age

Ego Integration + _0_ - Despair

Take a look at all 8 lines at the same time. 0 to + is the positive zone. Your points are in this zone or fall into the negative zone (from 0 to -).

It happens that a person revels in sorrowful memories. And I drew a diagram and saw that all the points are in the positive pole. He spreads his hands and exclaims in disappointment: "What about a difficult childhood?"

Or all crises rest peacefully in the positive zone. And from 4 to 6 - in the extreme negative position.

The question arises: What events, people and feelings were taken there?

If there are many points in the negative zone, it's time to take care of yourself. In tandem with a psychologist-psychotherapist, understand and improve complex development zones.

Make the same schedule for your family, it will help to empathize and support your loved ones.

Development gives you a chance to catch up:

If the wings of the growing Autonomy were clipped from 2 to 4, then the second chance to find identity is given in adolescence. After all, 2 and 5 are Identity crises.

If in the crisis of Youth (from 22 to 34) you find yourself in the negative pole of Isolation - you can be alone and find yourself, if you did not succeed in adolescence.

This scheme is the beginning of work on yourself. Good hour.
