As I understand it, this picture should symbolize the call of freedom. That is, if you meet the morning on the beach in Thailand, opening your laptop at 12 o'clock to start a work shift, you turned "there". And if you, despicable planktonin, pull the yoke from 9 to 18 in a filthy office on Savelovskaya, then - you turned in the wrong direction, oh, not there … … not there …

And for me, this picture is just about something else. About unwillingness to look at the world not only from your own point of view. In this case, the author of the poster above the desk somehow did not think that “all kinds of mothers are needed, all kinds of mothers are important” and that a person can seriously dream of a job that does not involve cowards or beer at the workplace.

For example, you can imagine how someone sincerely dreams of becoming:

  • Opera singer
  • Athlete (with the prospect of becoming a champion)
  • Ballerina
  • Weather forecast announcer
  • Diver
  • Pilot
  • Concert musician

I can imagine how any of the listed works can be someone's dream job. Only underpants and beer are completely out of place.

Agree, an athlete drinking beer at work would look at least strange. Well, imagine, say, a biathlete in this form: a snowy plain, skis, underpants, a rifle in one hand, beer in the other. Rushing to the record, yeah And all this in order to say to myself: "Yes, I turned my life there!" Nothing so-so Vidocq would be, huh?

Not so long ago I came across an interesting text: a Gestalt colleague was describing the results of a master class he had conducted on the topic "Work and pleasure." “I was stunned,” a colleague writes. Listen, and so did I, when I saw the results:

but the following experiment plunged me into the greatest cultural shock: I proposed a drawing on the theme “my dream job.” What was my surprise when most of the participants actually refused to imagine who exactly they work (what exactly is their work activity) - and focused on working conditions.

like: I say I want to work three hours a day (it is not clear who). I want to work in a large spacious room (it is not clear by whom). I want to have a certain number of subordinates (it is not clear what we will do all together).

Oh, well, nifiga yourself, I thought. In fact, the members of the group signed that the content of the work is not significant for them. Perhaps the values for them are the money earned; working conditions; social status; free time, etc. And at the same time, among their values there is no: "To create something valuable in a certain field of activity and leave behind something significant in the world."

At the same time, the dreams of plankton women, like a village dweller, representing a rich life in the city: "The huts, they say, in their city are completely golden and tall: they have put a friend on a friend to the very heavens!" Well, that is, indulgence is when you feed the deity of the office not eight hours, but three. When you can drink beer in your underpants. And in general - when you can leave early, or even work on the beach with a free schedule !!! What are you - Happiness !!!

Sad, gentlemen. I am very sorry that this great happiness - the pleasure of a job well done - is beyond the reach of many contemporaries.

When I was little, I avidly read the Strugatskys; and I remember the story "Trainees". It, in particular, describes how a group of physicists works at the experimental station. The station is designed for nine people, and twenty-seven crammed into it, and one even lives in a freight elevator. And all because there, at this station, physicists have the opportunity to conduct such experiments that their colleagues can only dream of. It was then that I, I remember, sharply envied the heroes of the story: I, too, also want such a job! The kind of work that I will love enough to agree to sleep in the freight elevator !!! It's not that I love elevators, I just really want to love my job the same way.

And I, like, found my favorite work in life. And now I'm investing in it.

By the way. Psychologists, after all, also cannot accept clients with a bottle of beer and in shorts. It is considered unethical.

But I do not think at all that I have “turned the wrong way” in my life.
