If the opinion of others is absolutely "parallel" to a person, it means, most likely, he has already worked this fear, got rid of it. He went to meet fear, as many psychologists say, and was able to look him in the face.

I was 21 years old when I was appointed managing director of the auto center. I was subordinate to 90% of men older than me. Of course, I had a strong fear of failure, it seemed that they would laugh at me and hardly take me seriously. At first it went like that. What you are afraid of, you attract. Behind me it often sounded: "She is young, she has little experience, she is in dreams." Then, even without having a psychological education, intuitively, I realized that in order to gain authority, you need, first, to believe in what you are doing and in your strength. How did I do it?

First, positive affirmations are helpful. In my case, it was "I am successful, smart, wise. I have enough strength and knowledge to become the best in my field." and "If they put me in this post, then I deserve it." In any case, the statement is true: if the management has trusted you and wants to move you up, do not interfere with it with your fears and doubts. Or, if you yourself want to move up, believe in yourself.

Second, make a list of your past victories. I found an excellent support in what I have always been good at by nature, in my advantages. It was no coincidence that I was appointed to this position. Thus, I managed to convince myself of possible success in my new position. So, I believed in myself, in the correctness of my actions, and I knew that they would definitely lead to results. The following practice will also provide good support: you need to try to remember a situation in life when you did something great. Recall everything, down to the smallest details: your feelings, emotions, faces of other people, their reactions, what they said, and so on. You need to live this situation again, or rather, reproduce the positive emotions from it and try to project it onto your current position. This will help you enter that state, remember it when you really did it well. It will give you support on an unconscious level, without noticing it, you will begin to move in the right direction for you, and, most importantly, with the right attitude, which we need here!

Third, it's great to enlist the support of loved ones and friends who believe in you. Whatever one may say, but an additional positive flow of energy will always do a double job, somehow miraculously helping you to rise higher and overcome the first difficulties without too many problems.

Fourth, accept yourself and drop imperfections. Nobody is perfect - it's not bad or good, it just is. You are what nature and the environment created you to be. Be sure to allow yourself to be wrong! Therefore, your imperfections are not a flaw, they are part of your personality at this stage of your life. Whether to work with them or not is up to you. But in order to achieve success, it is better to focus on your advantages, because what you pay attention to, it increases. Quite a well-known fact. If you become worried about your shortcomings, they will begin to "bulge" and your colleagues, too, unconsciously, count them in the atmosphere around you. Believing in your exclusivity and efficiency, you will begin to spread fluids of a completely different type, as well as your subordinates will have faith in the leader (if you suddenly become one) and motivation to achieve the required results. Any psychologist will confirm these facts.

Over the course of 14 years, my team has remained very strong, cohesive and has not changed. We went through fire, water and copper pipes, achieved great results and still maintain friendly relations. Later I changed my field of activity. Now I am a coach and trainer, I help people to discover self-confidence and believe in themselves in new endeavors and treat things easier and easier than they seem at first glance.

In general, the fear of condemnation arises, as a rule, when a person is faced with something new. My main advice: go to meet fear. If you are afraid of being judged, for example, become visible, more active. The second point, you need to trust the situation that is happening to you, because if you got into it, then it's not just that, she wants to teach you something. He wants to guide you through the experience you need in this life.

Therefore, if you suddenly have a fear of failure, lack of strength, skills or experience. It starts to seem to you that you need to go and learn more - this is not worth doing at all, since this is often the main reason for all the "brakes". You know, you found yourself in this or that situation not by chance, it means that something brought you there. If this is a new position, you have been appointed to it, then the management considered you worthy. In this case, it's not up to you to judge whether you deserve it or not. Your goal here is to do everything in your power to show all your talents. It is also worth trying to turn off "evaluativeness": try not to rummage in yourself, in search of possible improvements, not to judge or condemn yourself and your actions.
