The emergence of the ability, and, most importantly, the desire to acquire a lot of knowledge - this is what characterizes the younger school age. Knowledge of the surrounding reality, a significant increase in the experience of communication and independence are his main achievements

"Drama circle, a circle from a photo, and even hunting to sing" is the motto of a junior schoolchild.

Of course, such an expansion of possibilities enriches not only the child's practical experience, but also his psyche, the ability to experience experiences of different depth and intensity. All these "new formations" are the result of the notorious crisis of 7 years.

All children entering school experience stress. However, as a rule, the child's psyche is already ready to withstand serious changes in social status, where relations are more rigid boundaries, more arbitrariness and mental endurance are required.

In some cases, going to school can be a truly daunting challenge for children and their families. Stress can be excessive if the student had problems earlier in their development. Stress can be expressed both at the somatic, bodily level (the child begins to get sick often), and at the level of behavior (from inattention to aggressiveness).

At preschool age, the child was usually accepted as he was, his features were not particularly noticeable, did not interfere with his development. At the same time, it is important that the characteristics of the child are taken into account, so that the family “has a finger on the pulse” in the preschool period. But there are families in which parents, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts or nannies were touched and indulged in the weaknesses, and sometimes, and promiscuity of the child.

The school, despite the fact that it is much more strictly regulated than the kindergarten, is not omnipotent. And even the most attentive teacher has negligible means to reduce the consequences of the so-called "pedagogical neglect" of the child, which influenced his psyche before school. It is at school that the inability to listen to others is exposed, anxiety, fears, uncontrollable hatred …

The world is infinitely diverse, and hyper control, premature education of children in it also takes place. The driving force behind these "kinks", as I see it, is parental anxiety and insecurity. An already troubling time is compounded by parenting mistakes.

Here is what AV Averin writes about the psychology of junior schoolchildren: “If in preschool age, instinctive fears associated with the instinct of self-preservation prevailed, and in adolescence, social fears prevail, then junior school age is a kind of crossroads at which instinctive and social fears. As you know, instinctive fears are predominantly emotional forms of fear, while social fears are the result of intellectual processing, a kind of rationalization of fears. “Fear and anxiety (a stable state of fear) are mainly for preschool age, and anxiety and apprehension are for adolescents. In the primary school age we are interested in, fear and dread, anxiety and apprehension can be represented in the same degree, - emphasizes AI Zakharov.

So, most of the fears of junior schoolchildren lie in the field of educational activities: the fear of "not being the one", the fear of making a mistake, the fear of getting a bad grade, the fear of conflict with peers and parents."

School fears not only deprive the child of psychological comfort, the joy of learning, but also contribute to the development of childhood neuroses.

In order for a younger student to be able to consciously regulate behavior, it is important to delicately and patiently teach him to adequately express feelings, to find constructive ways to get out of difficult situations. If this is not done, unreacted feelings will determine the child's life for a long time, creating more and more subjective difficulties.
