Last weekend with her eldest daughter I watched the world-renowned fascinating science fiction thriller "The Butterfly Effect" (with all four endings for the film). I saw him in my youth, came back to him again. Feelings and thoughts on re-viewing are completely, completely different … But the main idea of the film touched much more than before. It is on this topic that I undertake to speculate in my publication - with your help, friends, - connect.

I would like to put the following thesis for our discussion: the presence of a specific vector (a given scenario tendency) of relations that once did not take shape, which, in all attempts to organize a different state of affairs (“rewrite” your past scenario), lead to the same result.

I propose to return to the film … Boy Evan, being able to travel in time and change the baseline, in all attempts to improve his relationship with Kelly, each time he came to the same result: DOES NOT EXIT, IMPOSSIBLE, DON'T!

First try to fix the state of affairs is connected with the youthful date of Evan and Kelly, after a certain time (the children broke up in adolescence, in connection with Evan's move). Kelly, due to the dramatic influence of her childhood, is living a very bleak adult life. And under the influence of a date with Evan (whom she once loved) suddenly passes away.

Evan goes back in time and changes the original data of Kelly's childhood (the pervert father stops the pathological influence on the psyche of the youngest daughter); Evan "wakes up" in a different present; everything seemed to be dramatically improved, but only for a short time … Evan and Kelly are separated again - by one monstrous circumstance, as a result of which Evan ends up in prison …

Second try, to improve the bitter state of affairs, led to even more depressing results - Kelly turns into a prostitute.

Third attempt at times burdens the scenario: Evan returns to the present immobilized and deprived of limbs of his hands; his beloved Kelly, under the circumstances, belongs to his friend.

Fourth attempt - kills Kelly as a child, at the time of a distant meeting, at the age of 9 Evan.

None of Evan's heroic efforts to "rewrite" the unfortunate past together has ensured the happy development of the relationship, opening up in their fate with difficult, test material.

Trying to heal the fate of the beloved girl for the fifth time, Evan takes himself away from the general plot altogether, while still in the womb, strangling himself with the umbilical cord. Hoping to improve at least Kelly's script.

The death of a hero is an unacceptable result for viewers! The dismal outcome of the film outraged a large audience, forcing the director to redo the tragic ending. The film will be equipped with three additional subtotals. But is it the same ending?

I believe that the script series reveals to the viewers the philosophy of an important algorithm: each pairing has its own plot-semantic material, its own sacred predestination, which determines the tendencies of relations; and this inner, spiritual subtext, as a karmic task, an important semantic material, leads the participants in the stories through a “labyrinth” of given relationships …

As a psychologist, I will add the following. Very often, a meaning-forming mix or subtext of a relationship anticipates their future dynamics. And with all the attempts to "replay" their past, years later, people (as in the film I have cited) again and again come to depressing results … Just like in the song: "If it doesn't work out, don't wait" …

However, this does not mean that the hero (or us in critical situations of DeJavu) has absolutely no place to move (by the way, Evan in all tested variants received a different reality, with a different reserve of further prospects). It only means that the plots of specific associations have a certain programmatic vector, with an inherent set of spiritual and educational meanings. Fate by such a manifestation seems to convey something to the protagonists of its stories. But can we hear the fate?! …

To put it simply, Evan had one single TRUE an attempt to improve relations with Kelly: without returning to the past, to return to oneself - and transforming internally, to provide a different future. But whether there will be Kelly in this future is another open question …
