For those who are not very clear about my position, I will try to explain reasonably. To do this, I will try to describe the main difficulties that arise in determining this state.

1) It exists!

It is much easier to understand that psychological trauma exists, is difficult to experience, needs treatment, and has consequences when compared to physical trauma. If we hit a leg, arm, head or something else, then they hurt, remind of themselves, attract attention and cause discomfort.

So with psychological experiences, if unpleasant events happened, unexpected and sad news came, and so on: a person feels bad, needs care and rest.

And if you broke something, then you need an emergency or not, but the help of a professional, treatment, with diagnostics and rehabilitation period, and sometimes with surgical intervention. So it is with psychological trauma: a person needs the help of professionals or close circle, he alone does not have enough strength to cope.

If it happened that you yourself or someone lost loved ones, or there was a difficult parting or divorce, or disappointment, betrayal or humiliation, or something else that can cause the strongest emotional experiences, then this brings no less destruction and pain. than physical injury. Perhaps this is even more traumatic than physical injury, due to the complexity of diagnosis and hidden (or closed) symptoms.

You should not ignore either your own feelings or the feelings of another, no matter how difficult they are. Give them space. If you cannot help yourself, there are specialists for this.

2) It hurts a lot

This is the same as being hit on the head with a brick! Yes, I am not exaggerating. Only in the case of a brick, the wound and blood are visible visually, and with mental trauma, at first glance, there may be no noticeable signs. And the pain is the same, only it is more difficult to treat the wound, and it is almost impossible to provide emergency assistance.

This is how a person walks, and from him flows an invisible and imperceptible liquid, and his forces leave him. Others do not even know that his "soul hurts", and from the painful shock, he can hardly breathe and live.

With a physical injury that restricts working capacity, a sick leave is provided, but for a psychological one - for some reason, no, although it is in vain. Indeed, in such cases, treatment is mandatory, and rest and various leisure activities are also indicated. If you just leave a person at home, with her pain alone, she can “finish off” him, if not physically, then morally, for sure. Therefore, treatment is mandatory, to whom it is business, to whom in a word, it is already individual.

3) It takes time.

Yes, just as the body needs a rehabilitation period after an injury, so a person with a psychological shock needs a period to recover. It is not a quick process, but it is very important, as it takes time, regularity and help to treat wounds. If this process is missed, they will not only take longer to heal, but they can also fester, give complications and cause even more pain.

Therefore, injuries, both psychological and physical, must be restored, at least before the formation of dry and clean scars and scars. Then the pain will become a memory or a reminder, and not a constant uncomfortable painful process.

4) Does not pass without a trace

If it is clearer with physical ailments, then many turn a blind eye to psychological ones. So, if a strong psychological shock has happened to a person, then when he gets into a similar situation or an emotional reaction, the person again plunges into the past stress, and in addition to the current one.
