This also applies to people who have never been affected by psychological problems, but they constantly feel as if something is missing. This is how the term positive psychology appeared, the author of which is the famous American psychologist Martin Seligman.
Seligman claims that a psychologically healthy person is like a dug-up garden, but this is not enough for a rose to grow? That's right, in order to see the beautiful flowering of a rose bush, you must first plant the seeds, and then take care of the plant carefully. So in psychology, in order for a person to feel complete, you need to constantly work on understanding your desires and realizing them, constantly developing yourself as a person and staying in a group of loving, supportive people.
To make the concept of happiness less abstract Seligman came up with the PERMA model, which will help you get closer to the feeling of happiness. It has five main aspects, and its name is the first letter of each of these points (in English).

P - Positive emotions One of the important factors in life is positive emotions. The more you laugh, have fun, rejoice, the more happy you feel. Of course, it is not possible to be always positive, but the more such moments you have in your life, the better you will feel. But what if there is simply not enough positive in life? The main thing is to remember that everything depends only on you. Fill your life with pleasant moments, your favorite movie in the evening after work, gatherings with friends, take time for yourself, listen to what your soul wants and thank yourself.
E - Involvement An occupation that absorbs you without a trace. When you don’t notice how hours go by for an exciting task. This state is called flow or flow. Psychologists argue that this is the opposite of feeling apathy and discouragement. So the more time you devote to your favorite work, the more happy you become. Set aside at least one hour a week for a start and devote it to your hobby, and if there is none, then it's time to find it.
R - Relationships Man is a social being. Of course, everyone sometimes wants to be alone with themselves, but invariably this process is interrupted by the desire to be in the circle of loved ones. Someone will choose a noisy company, someone an evening alone with a soul mate, one way or another, communication is an integral part of our life. It is important to note that emotions often depend on our social circle, on whether someone has ruined the mood today or, on the contrary, amused. So do not forget to keep in touch with relatives or friends, surround yourself only with people pleasant to your heart.
M - Sense Probably everyone at least once wondered what the meaning of life is. Perhaps the point is to understand exactly what you want from your life. For some, the meaning of life can be work, for others a family, and for others religion. The meaning does not have to be in one thing, you can see it in daily affairs, helping loved ones and success in your favorite business. Analyze what actions bring you joy the most, what achievements are you proud of, and what else do you plan to implement?
A - Achievements What an incredible feeling it is when you achieve something that you have been working on for so long. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that the achievements were included in this list. However, not all achievements are enjoyable. Here we are talking about the implementation of plans and making dreams come true. When you feel like you've done something really important. Do you miss such emotions? Then it's time to get to work, choose a few things that you want to do for a long time, but constantly postpone and implement them within two weeks.
