In this article, I want to share one technique that helped me personally and in my work, especially with children, to overcome panic, disgust and fear
I am going to present here a modification of this technique that works best with children.
First, a dictionary. Submodal editing consists of two words:
"Submodal", which means that of which the modality consists, the composition of the modality.
Modality in this context = representational systems: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. For our technique, these three are quite enough, although we can divide the kinesthetic one into several and add a digital one.
"Editing" - changing the parameters.
So, a modification of the usual, classical model of technology, which was proposed by S. V. Kovalev.
Step 1. Think about a situation that haunts you, causes very strong feelings, feelings of fear, panic, horror, anxiety, shame …
Step 2. Remembering this situation, see the picture that pops up when you think about it.
Step 3. Imagine that this picture is pasted on the windshield of a car in a car graveyard.
Step 4. Take a cobblestone and throw it into the windshield with a picture "pasted" on it. See how the glass and the picture on it scatter in small splashes with a deafening clink. These splashes of glass are so small that they are more like dust …
Step 5. Catch your breath. Your feelings will be a marker for you that everything worked out. Relief, even laughter, giggling of children will say that the problem is gone.
Step 6. Verification. Imagine that situation again. What happened to her? If you do not have those feelings that were at the beginning at all, then you can end there. If there is something left, then you can do a similar exercise, only with the projection of the picture onto the water, and also by throwing a stone into it. Then check again to see if the strong and heavy feelings are gone when presenting the situation.
If so, then you can be congratulated on your release.
For some, this exercise needs to be done several times to achieve the desired effect.
And here is another picture that I could not pass by. It is possible that on it I will tell you about some more methods that I use in my psychological practice.

Additional Tools Of A Practical Psychologist
Good afternoon everyone. I think that this material will be of interest to both practicing psychologists and those who want to understand themselves on their own. I have not been in practice for several years, nevertheless, the tools remained and I use them from time to time.
