Popular wisdom has long noticed that troubles usually do not overtake us alone. If something should happen, then everything will inevitably happen at once. Sound familiar?

The phone broke down, the laptop decided to update all the programs at once, the coffee boiled out, the bus was late, the boss was dissatisfied, and then they had a fight with their relatives.

No, no, I'm not scaring. But everyone has moments when everything falls out of their hands and even more than they have in their hands. At this time, you can open horoscopes, calendars of Mercury retrograde and solar flares, but it is better to take a deep breath and listen to yourself more attentively.

when was the last time you had lunch?

how many hours did you sleep?

have any of the people around you given you trouble?

How long have you been in good company?

Each little nuisance entails another, even before we even have time to notice it. If you dislocate your leg and limp, there is a high probability that your healthy leg will also ache in the evening due to the unusual load on it. And it doesn't just work with the legs.

Our body tries hard to balance itself. When you work long and hard, sometimes you really want something sweet. And even if you have not heard anything about glucose, then you know for sure that it will improve your mood, and the day will become more sunny, colleagues - more welcoming. Well, at least for you. But sometimes the desire to maintain a balance works against us.

Not having enough sleep and tired at work, we become more demanding of our loved ones, because now we need their support more than ever. We, albeit imperceptibly for ourselves, are trying to compensate for professional troubles with a much-desired party with friends, a romantic evening or home peace. Here, every once small, trifle can become a big problem. And not because our loved ones are ignorant and inattentive egoists, but only because we are tired and irritable. This is where we are trying to balance on one leg, because the other hurts. And each unfortunate pebble in the shoe is felt much sharper.

The more problems in one area of our life, the more expectations in another, so we try to maintain an imaginary balance.

And what, then, to do at this time? Why not leave the room and talk to people? - Well, this is still not the best (and often difficult to implement) solution. It is better to remember that we are not only a bunch of our deeds, but also a material embodiment of flesh and blood.

At these moments, a hungry, embittered, lonely and exhausted animal sits in each of us, throwing problems at us, demanding sacrifices.

And the name of this beast HALT: hangry angry lonely and tied … The rules for taming him are just as simple: DO NOT be hungry, angry, lonely and tired, and especially all this overnight.

When we are too busy saving the universe, we can forget about many things, including ourselves, turning our pyramid of needs upside down and balancing at the very tip. At this moment, our hunger and lack of sleep will surely collapse on our heads.

Every time you really want to flare up at your interlocutor, blame colleagues, take offense at loved ones or take upon yourself all the deadly sins, remember this little animal. His name, “halt”, by the way, translates exactly as a stop, a halt, or just “stop!”. Take a little time out and ask yourself question four o:

Odid I starve?

Maybe me Oangry Odinok or Opowerless?

When we are hungry, our body primarily needs nutrients and energy. It's normal to feel dissatisfied or irritable when we need to eat. Sometimes a small apple can help avoid a fight. This does not mean, of course, that every problem should be seized with a good dinner, rather the opposite. But starving yourself and trying to be happy and welcoming at the same time can be difficult, or why, do you think, Koschey the Immortal is such an evil character?

It is normal to be angry and angry, and sometimes even necessary. But it happens that one reason like a snowball brings us completely different consequences. It is normal to feel unhappy if you get nasty on the transport on your way to work, but it is not very advisable to quarrel with an employee about it. It is worth wondering what you are angry about and why, so as not to overdo it. It is important to distract yourself from the exciting discussion in your head in time, return yourself to what is happening now, and not be thoughts on the ill-fated bus when you sit with your feet at work. Remember the last little pleasantness, even the most banal and stupid - and get off this bus!

And sometimes we just need a little support. Even a strong and independent woman sometimes needs a small fluffy cat. Imaginary friends and internal dialogue are not always enough to share the beauty or sadness of the moment. Unfortunately, we do not have little pocket men who can pat on the shoulder and cheer at the right time (and if you have one, please don't tell anyone, otherwise greedy doctors will be sure to take it away). Sometimes it is enough to smile at a casual passer-by on the street to get a sincere smile in return, not to mention forgotten friends or, on the contrary, casual interlocutors with whom you can just get to know better. Or where do you think there are so many people wanting to talk in the queues?:)

And no matter what we do, be it even the work of our whole life and the salvation of the galaxy, but sometimes we get tired. And that's okay. The more tired we are, the less energy we have for other problems, small things become harder, and big things sometimes become completely unbearable. Then we need a little rest and good sleep. The fast pace and high standards of its own super-efficiency are exhausting. But if we deny our own exhaustion, each time we will need more and more strength for the usual tasks. Having slept an "extra" hour, you can do much more things.

It is not always possible to keep yourself well-fed, calm, contented and rested, but you should remember about these little four "O's" so as not to find yourself once hungry, angry, lonely and tired among a heap of problems. After all, it is with morning sleepiness that overturned coffee begins, and a quarrel in transport continues with a conflict at work.

Petite halt-pausesometimes it is able to break the vicious circle, give another move to Mercury and change the position of the stars in the sky.

Our life consists of small trifles, and great happiness consists of small amenities.
