Analysis of this session posted with client permission.
Friends, I want to show you working with a dream in the format of a gestalt approach. We studied this technique during our student days, in the course of practical psychology. Since then, I have periodically used a useful approach.
I will show him with an example …

Necessary explanations in anticipation of the client's story.
The dream was dreamed of by a married woman, mother of two sons, the experience of marriage is about 15 years.
The client's dream.
I dream that I am on the subway, at a meeting with a man in love with me. He touches me passionately, hugs me, whispers something in my ear and hands me a syringe (without a needle) filled with yellow liquid. We both understand that a syringe filled with illegal material is a drug. The man asks to use it in secret from her husband. Then he leaves me a secret, folded note with his phone number - this information for subsequent communication with him. A little later (to mutual regret) we have to part - I have to go to my husband …
On the way, I hide the note in a column at the station, behind a lattice window. But then I take it out and hide it in my bra. Then I go up to my husband …
The husband does not look at all the same as in reality - in a dream he is categorically unattractive, and also unusually annoyed. He looks with disbelief, searches me, anticipating some kind of deception … Fortunately, he finds nothing …
Finally, we get into the car and set off on a long journey …
On the way, I manage to swallow the liquid given to me, but for some reason I don't feel the expected euphoria …
The last thing I remember is a highway and my husband and I are in the car …
In this part of the dream I wake up …

Working with a dream.
********
Necessary explanations in anticipation of working with the client.
In the gestalt approach, the dream is reflected by the narrator (alternately) from the position of individual characters in the story (both animate and not), with an attempt to maximize the heroes of a particular dream, with their roles, tasks and connections with other participants in the events.
Working with dream heroes.
I. A man in love.
I am passionately in love with the lady of my heart. Long and hot. And now, finally, I decide to come up and open up. The lady reciprocates - tacitly, but obviously. I give her my magic potion, a note with a phone number and let her go see you soon …
II. The heroine of the dream.
I'm excited. I like a man in love with me. It evokes pleasant longing, trembling of the heart, wonderful, love agony. I accept the syringe trustingly. Hiding the note diligently. Not even though, I go up to meet my husband (because we agreed, I understand - he is waiting for me) … The husband does not cause sympathy. I feel confused, complex feelings for him. I drink medicine in the car, but I don't feel the desired euphoria. Before my eyes is an endless road, a long, long way. Nearby is a husband. There is nothing more to add …
III. The heroine's husband.
I am agitated and somewhat annoyed, feeling some kind of deception. I search my wife … I do not find the expected confirmation, but my irritation grows stronger … We get into the car and set off on a long journey. I drive … My wife is next to me. Little by little I calmed down and got distracted … There is an endless path ahead …
IV. Syringe with medicine.
I am a wonderful, forbidden fruit with a magic elixir for a lady. I am destined for pleasure. My potion is being consumed.
V. Secret note with the coordinates of the gentleman.
I am very important information - with gentle content and message. I am the means of amorous continuation. Was saved by a lady.
Vi. Lattice on a column in the subway.
I am a hiding place. Keeper of important information. Completed the function, passing the note to the hostess.
Vii. A car rushing along the road.
I am a process. I personify movement. I promote spouses to important strategic goals. I'm doing well. Ahead is a joint long road.

Analysis of role-playing characters and their possible messages.
I. A man in love.
Longing for the ardor of a relationship, a burning desire for passion.
II. Syringe with medicine.
Obvious phallic symbolism, with understandable symbolic content. The lack of a needle implies a lack of a fulfilled relationship.
III. The heroine of the dream.
The mistress of the dream (following the man in love with her) confirms the desirability of the sounded provisions. As if the Animus and Anima of this woman together want the same thing - realized sex, bed relationships, love.
IV. The heroine's husband.
This hero is revealed ambiguously, with a claim. This may allow the woman to harbor a grudge against her spouse. At the end of the joint analysis, the client will explain the situation.
V. Secret note with the coordinates of the gentleman.
Desire for some secret love. Hidden fantasies. Flirting.
Vi. Lattice on a column in the subway.
A ban on any love secret, hidden fantasies, flirting.
Vii. A car rushing along the road.
The personified process of joint movement, dynamics of matrimonial relations.

Final awareness of the messages and meaning of the dream.
At the end of the session, the woman understands: her dream about internal claims to her husband - all the last time (about 8 months), the husband has been in forced leave, returning home once a month for the weekend. Recent love relationships have significantly reduced and ceased to suit her. During the departure of her husband, the woman moves away from him, weaned, physically yearning; and during his visits, he does not have time to tune in and get enough of love. Cheating is completely unacceptable for her and the resentment against her spouse is growing.
Without a joint analysis of the dream, the client did not understand her problem, brushing off the lucid clarifications. Based on the results of the session, I decided to explain to my spouse, talk, with an attempt to establish a protracted, problematic situation.

This is how clearly and usefully it is possible to manifest the client's subconscious through the analysis of a dream with the help of a therapeutic technique.

An Effective Method For Working With Dreams. We Throw Away Dream Books
The phenomenon of dreams is still poorly understood, and there is no clear answer to the question of where they come from, and what potential they carry. Some people (for example, the scientist Pigarev I.N.) consider dreams to be a pathology, which, normally, a healthy person should not have.
Working With A Symptom In A Gestalt Approach
The psychosomatic approach is based on the idea of the connection between the body and the psyche. The existence of this kind of connection was known for a very long time. Ancient Greek philosophers have already written about this, discussing the nature of the disease.

Analysis of a case with a ban on pregnancy. So, friends, I am continuing the recently started topic related to the formation and work of an internal prohibition on one or another realization of our life. In my last publication, I presented to your attention an extremely curious and convincing case with the prohibition of repeated happiness in marriage, the removal of which provided the client with getting rid of a persistent symptom that unexpectedly manifested itself in

Analysis of the case with the prohibition of repeated happiness in marriage . Friends, I think it's not a secret for anyone that in many life situations it is we (and not extraneous circumstances or forces) who burden our own, external life.
