It is possible to detect that something else is happening at the same time as what is visible can be done in different ways. For example, you can get terribly tired doing almost nothing. Or complain about inattention and inability to concentrate. Inappropriateness, unexpectedness and incomprehensibility of their own feelings and reactions.
And then it's time to ask the question - is it really possible to find the answer to these questions from the level of understanding at which we are? Or does something remain in the shadows and how the gray cardinal continues to draw his conclusions and makes decisions, not looking too much at the realized desires of the person himself? then you can pause. And in this slowdown listen, look inside yourself. After all, this is the only way to influence the notorious "slip" of feelings. In the silence and slowness, there will certainly appear something that most often you really do not want to face. There may be very strong feelings that are held back for a long time, do not admit their existence at all, or which are so great and charged that they cannot come to their end. But our psyche, fortunately, is wise. Some places are not worth going to alone. Without the careful accompaniment of a psychotherapist. Therefore, the psyche defends itself, exposing this very unawareness and non-recognition of the undercurrents in feelings to the forefront. And okay. She knows better how to survive, but there is still a way to make such periods easier for herself. If you take a step back a little, you will notice that regardless of whether we recognize or do not recognize the presence of processes occurring in the unconscious, all the same, energy is wasted on it. And considerable. However, much more is spent on "ignorance" than on "knowledge". Because holding back and denying is always more expensive than looking for ways to handle. But it is hardly more difficult. With restraint, a lot of energy is always spent on secondary things - on pretending that nothing is happening; to search for workarounds to do what could be done directly, but cannot, because you need to continue to deceive yourself, i.e. any action on the subject should not resemble itself; finding resources for all this is also "under cover of night", because it is impossible to recognize reality. And so on. Any process, conscious or not, consumes our energy. And if now we choose not to start an independent journey into the jungle of our childhood memories and the offenses once inflicted on us (for example), then we can at least admit that something else is happening right at this moment. And, having recognized, give him a place in your life, giving him a personal symbol, for example, you can light a candle. Leave it without religious and festive meanings, but internally assign it the status of the very tip of the iceberg of an invisible internal process that barely protrudes above the water, or a garland, a night light. Any small light that will accompany the day somewhere on the periphery of vision, continuing to do its quiet work, relieving the tense soul from what it is now unable to grasp. Sometimes it may turn out that one candle is not enough. Then the second should appear. And third. And fifth. How much do you need. Who knows how much parallel everything flows outside the boundaries of our consciousness and is looking for a place for itself? Or a pet. He, too, can be given the symbolism of the inner and the invisible, of that which disturbs. And then through the playful cat you can figuratively experience the release of energy. Through the appetite of a breakfast rodent, allow itself to be satiated with something. Through the howling dog, allow yourself to be bored and, in general, everyday life. What is constantly happening in the background is a dripping tap, a regularly humming refrigerator, a deafening clock ticking in silence. Each of these phenomena can be useful if you consciously make them "external carriers" of undifferentiated internal tension. In part, this idea has something in common with field theory and with NLP-ish "anchors". But its difference is that it is, rather, a lightning rod - a way to relieve internal pressure, prevent an explosion, alleviate what is now impossible, not what to change, but even to realize.
