Excellent student with a rich inner world
As a child, I was greatly praised. In addition to my ability to grasp material on the fly, nature has endowed me with a penchant for poetry. Elementary school went by in one breath, giving me a sense of uniqueness. Throughout high school, I felt the gap between me and the other children grow. At some point, classmates began to value sexual liberation and pronounced individualism. No more praise for my intellect than for the packaging of crisps at a fusion street food festival.
The depressed state was inevitable. Confused and crumpled, I could not understand why my intellect, so highly valued in the old years, no longer aroused the admiration of my peers. From here a whole vegetable garden of defense mechanisms grew, such as: “the main thing is a rich inner world”, unwillingness to maintain social connections, candy in the evenings and excess weight as a result.
In my case, negative emotions were caused by the lack of doping - praise, and the superiority syndrome was based on the desire to forever maintain the inviolable status of the most popular girl in the class. The feeling of my own uniqueness made me completely deny the uniqueness of other children, so that - God forbid! - their uniqueness was not more valuable than my uniqueness. Thus, I entered adulthood, proudly waving the flag of my own importance and undeniable superiority.
If your story echoes even slightly with mine, then after analyzing the origins of the syndrome of self-importance, you will find that
superiority syndrome is no less painful than an inferiority complex
Most often, it manifests itself as a mechanism for protecting a certain "self-image", also known as the ego - the vision of his personality, which a person constructs - consciously and unconsciously - for effective functioning in society. Interestingly, the self-image is mainly created from personality traits considered attractive in the social environment in which a person grows up. For example, in a society that welcomes the image of a slender blonde, a plump brunette may subconsciously feel ugly and subconsciously gravitate towards experiments with appearance.
While a sense of uniqueness can help to achieve success in a competitive environment, the often accompanying sense of self-superiority threatens to turn an ambitious player into a restless neurotic.
Unique - all
If you feel that a sense of superiority takes you beyond healthy competition and provokes attack, anxiety, and other psychoactive experiences and actions, consider the following:
We cannot get into the head of another person and live his unique experience. But what if each person considers themselves unique, and this whole train of thought about their unique talents is defensive self-deception?
Getting to know life again
As a first step, try noticing other people’s positives and talents that you don’t possess throughout the week. Tell people about it! Become the person who gives sincere, meaningful compliments, rather than rowing all the verbal wealth to yourself.
As for your gift, feel sincere gratitude to the universe, God, genetic code, etc. because you have such strengths, because they allow you to do your job in a way that no one else can! Therefore, there is nothing to worry about. No one can draw a mulberry in the village better than you, because only you, thanks to your unique memories, know how it sparkles with dew at dawn!
Finally, try to accept the disgruntled, confused child in yourself. Track your tipping point that keeps you on the defensive to this day. You are beautiful and unique from the very moment you were born - like every other person - and no one can take that away from you.

ABULIC SYNDROME
ABULIC SYNDROME A generation of parents didn't know how to want and the generation of children does not know how to wait. I don't like to make predictions … This is a thankless job. I will express only some of my therapeutic observations, in no way pretending to generalize, but rather indicating some tendencies.
Comfortable Child Syndrome In Adulthood
Quiet, calm, absolutely not problematic children - mother's joy. Such children do not bring unnecessary trouble, they are one hundred percent obedient and predictable, comfortable in every sense. Mom said to play means we play, we have to eat - we go without a murmur whatever we give, sleep on schedule and in general not a step from mom.
INFANTIITY: ETERNAL GIRL SYNDROME
"Modern society is infantile." A hackneyed phrase that no longer hurts the ear. This is a reality that is gradually being accepted by both those who give such a characteristic and those to whom this characteristic is directed. "

The Mask Of Superiority And Self-sufficiency
The masks of superiority and self-sufficiency often hide wounded childhood feelings. Once upon a time, a child in need of warm contact and care did not receive it. His need was not understood, not accepted, not sufficiently satisfied. Feeling rejected, children begin to look for the reasons for such injustice.
