Belief in a miracle is indestructible! At least very popular. And this desire for a quick and easy solution to complex problems is very understandable. All living things strive to solve any problem as quickly as possible and with the least cost of effort. In experiments with ciliates, they were given two water paths to food - one shorter, the second longer. In 100 percent of cases, ciliates chose the short lane.

Faced with life problems, difficulties in relationships, various neurotic manifestations, any person seeks to "deal with this", to solve the problem as quickly as possible. Thank God that now more and more people understand that solving these problems is not worth "removing the evil eye" or "untiing karmic knots", not spinning around with a candle in their hands and not reading a conspiracy, but referring to a psychologist.

In fact, often carrying out some such "magical" procedure can really provide temporary relief of the state of mind. The person believes that help has already been provided to him, calms down, the level of anxiety decreases, which has a positive effect on his well-being. But the problem remains unaddressed and reducing anxiety without examining the causes of it will improve the condition, most likely only for a short time.

However, even realizing that in order to improve his state of mind and change his life for the better, one should turn not to “psychics” and “sorcerers”, but to a psychologist, often a person continues to believe in a miracle. Only now the bearer of this miracle is not a sorcerer, but a media-promoted psychologist whose consultation costs, of course, no less than $ 50,000.

For some reason, the logic stops working here. It seems that by paying a one-time 50 thousand you will get a better effect from such therapy than from 20 sessions of 2.5 thousand rubles each. Well, and a lot of time, at the same time, you will save. In fact, I will tell you a terrible secret, a psychologist who takes 2-5 thousand rubles for a consultation (session). usually is no less (and often more) a good specialist than a "promoted" psychologist. The whole difference is precisely in the media. Not all psychologists, often excellent specialists, want this media, are ready to spend a lot of money on advertising, preferring to just work quietly.

And a consultation with such an "ordinary" specialist is in no way less useful and effective for a client than that of an "elite" psychologist, and even a short-term therapy of 10-20 meetings (for the same money) will definitely bring more benefits to the client than an expensive consultation, but one-time.

In fact, even rich people are usually not ready to visit a psychologist regularly (1-2 times a week), paying 10-15 thousand and more for such sessions. They are ready to pay a one-time (or come periodically at intervals of several months) a large amount, but the therapy really starts to work only with the regularity of such meetings.

A good, lasting effect is given only by regular, long-term therapy, and not one-time consultations. Yes, short-term therapy and even one consultation is better than none at all. They are usually followed by an improvement in the condition and even the resolution of some current acute problem, so I am by no means against such consultations at all. However, if your psychological problems have been accumulating in your psyche for 20-30-40 years - from the very first hours after your birth (for example, immediately after birth, they were taken away from your mother, as was the practice in Soviet maternity hospitals) until the moment when you first came to therapy, then how long do you think it will take to work through such long-term problems, and will one consultation be enough for this?

Concerning the pricing of psychologists' services. By and large, I have nothing against expensive one-time consultations with famous psychologists. Just keep in mind that a consultation for 50 thousand will not be 10 times more effective than a consultation for 5 thousand rubles. a good professional, but non-mediated psychologist.

The price for a regular session with very good, professional psychologists rarely exceeds 4-5 thousand, more often 2-3 thousand rubles. And for most of them, they are no less effective than those of expensive psychologists, but due to the greater affordability of prices for their sessions, you can afford regular therapy, which, I repeat, can only bring a lasting effect for you, permanently change your life for the better. side.
