Yesterday I caught sight of a piece of Ivan Vyrypaev's play “DreamWorks”. And there is beauty on the beautiful. “A man should always be collected, focused (and a dozen more beautiful words), a man should not admit his weakness and cowardice, he should suppress fear. He does not talk about fatigue and does not report his powerlessness."
There is a lot of beauty there. And to hell with him, with this text, if not for one "but": it contains just the quintessence of folk wisdom about men. Which puts a pig in slow motion for both men and women.
What's wrong with these beauties?
First, right from the very beginning, "A man should …". And to whom does he owe? Why would a freedom-loving person who “takes what he wants, not by violence, but by inner strength” and “always follows his own path,” should be in debt to someone?
Ah, he owes himself. That's how it is! Such a cheerful toddler is born, already having to follow the path he has already guided. But figs for you, dear idealizers. Someone once for some reason told him “Dude, figure it out yourself”. And then he also twisted it so that they say this is a real man. Watch your hands: someone pointed out to him that no one can tell him. Smells like shizoi.
Secondly, what is this wonderful ideal? It already glows unearthly from within. Takes everything he needs, but violence - no, no! What do you! Aggression? God forbid! You walk so real your way, you lead your wife by the arm, and suddenly there are obstacles on the way. You have to stand up to your full height, be silent and wait for the obstacles themselves to go crazy with inner strength and scatter in fear. It seems to me that a normal man is in contact both with his aggression and with his head: sometimes you have to roll up a tambourine, and sometimes you have to hear your fear and scrape as much as you can.
The ideal of mothers and grandmothers is described. Here is what a good boy, he will not offend the kitten, he does everything himself, there is no need to spend energy on him, he helps his mother in everything, he is always grateful and satisfied with everything … Convenient, cho. There is no need to take a steam bath, to worry - he does not show when he is angry, tired, powerless to break the wall with his forehead.
The ideal, in fact, is a fucking biorobot, on which you don't need to spend your mental strength. Better to die of suppressed feelings than strain a selfish mom.
Men are people. And everything, I repeat, they have all the feelings. What the myth of the “real man” does is sheer genocide. The search for such “real” ones is doomed to failure. And the crowds of young and beautiful young ladies are looking and are looking with persistence worthy of a better application.
It is not the men who somehow feel wrong. It is you, dear idealizers, who cannot stand their feelings. This applies not only to women, but also to men: fathers, sons, friends. So leave it alone and take care of yourself.

Updating The topic of "Destiny" is still at the forefront of mental fashion. And in order to see this, it is enough to go to any social network or google the list of popular trainings. Change In Psychotherapy: Myth Or Reality?
Why do people come to a psychotherapist? They come for change. Psychotherapists use the promise of change depending on the degree of their adequacy or, for example, as an advertisement for one-time visits. What should those psychotherapists do who do not promise changes?
