A teenager is a "creature" that considers itself to be the center of the universe. All other people are somewhere on the periphery and are intended solely to serve him in one way or another. They all work for him and for him. And they all owe him, and he either owes them nothing, or can do nothing.

The teenager asserts himself constantly. In any way. At any cost.

Even when he is hiding from everyone, he also asserts his right to SINGULARITY AND INCONCIBILITY in this way.

It is important for him to be like everyone else - but only cooler - and at the same time to differ sharply from everyone else, again emphasizing his personal uniqueness.

Note. Adults don't need it anymore. They already know it. Well, if an adult suddenly asserts himself, it seems that he is "stuck" in adolescence. He really does not take responsibility for what is happening to him and his loved ones. He is always right - and They are to blame: they did wrong, spoke wrong - a lot of things, WHAT IS WRONG. He wants everything at once. He does not want to do one thing, but good. He needs a lot of things - to try and show everyone that he can do a lot. Sex is one of the sore spots. Here you have to Be and Correspond. And here's a teenager all concentrated exclusively on myself … And even to satisfy a woman for him is his personal achievement, and not at all caring for her. A lot - for show. To SEE.

And if no one sees and does not appreciate - then such things nafig. Defending your opinion - any, no matter what - is a matter of honor for a teenager. And even if today it is one thing, and tomorrow - quite the opposite - it is not very important. It is important that he defended Critics can not stand. No. For him, this means: do not respect and do not understand. They understand - this is if they agree. A lot is for show. To SEE. And if no one sees and does not appreciate - then such things nafig. The teenager has his own understanding of the FEATURES. This is not INDIVIDUALITY. This is exactly the FEATURE. "I am not like everyone else, I am special. And the rest are just others, so ordinary." And an adult who proves the same is an ADULT only on the basis of a passport. You can live like this to death in adolescents. It's not about age.

The child begins to realize his independence at the age of 3 (imagine, at 3 !!!!!). And the ability to choose actions - even earlier. And that he has power - also about the same time. But in adolescence, he suddenly encounters the fact that power is not only with him and that it is limited by the power of another - I'm talking about communication. This is where panic and self-assertion begins, something like “My power is cooler !! !!»

How can a teenager be "persuaded" to listen to advice? No way! It is necessary to teach, in principle, to see someone other than yourself. Teach to respect not only yourself, but also those around you.

And since a teenager most often respects only Strength (more likely mental than physical), then "weak" adults have nothing to do with adolescents. Moreover, they have nothing to try to teach them something. But this is purely my opinion.
