Analyzing what is happening and reading what they write, I cannot but express a few of my thoughts about what is happening.

1. People are not afraid of the coronavirus, people are afraid of the threat of death accompanying it

Most people don't have a clear relationship with death. The appearance on the horizon of human consciousness of a mortal danger usually causes a heightened sense of anxiety in the majority.

Therefore, we must understand that the alarm is not caused by the coronavirus itself, but by what it carries and what is why in Italy trucks drive through the streets at night: a fatal outcome.

Anxiety arises in a place where the person has no experience and no knowledge. There was an understanding that someday this would happen, or maybe these thoughts were not there.

And then right next to it.

Face to face.

Massively, no exceptions.

Thus, a person is unarmed and seized with anxiety in front of something unknown and dangerous.

To cope with anxiety and survive it, the psyche reacts with certain psychological defenses.

They were formed a long time ago, a lot has been written about them.

In difficult extreme situations, the usual psychological defenses may not work, a regression to more primitive psychological defenses that make it possible to get rid of anxiety is possible. For example, Denial of danger: this was invented by world politicians, this is a worldwide conspiracy that was deliberately inflated in order to destroy pensioners, increase the dollar exchange rate, write off all the sins of the economy …

Particularly amused was the recent video of a group of Russian grandmothers who said that it was Trump who invented the virus in order to raise the dollar, and in Russia there is no coronavirus and cannot be, and as a sign of proof they burned pictures with the virus in a bucket (sorry, I didn’t save it, otherwise it would shared now).

Devaluation of the danger: China survived and we will survive.

Ignoring the danger: I will live as I lived, it will not affect me (some went to rest, some go shopping as they went, some are outraged by the lack of subway work and stand in queues for hours on the minibus unnecessarily).

Rationalization of danger: if I do (eat garlic, drink alcohol … a lot of recipes), then I will be safe and other psychological protections.

Under the word danger I

veiled I hide the word Reality.

The reality is the same - a modern, educated person who has achieved dominance over the animal and plant world, a person can be destroyed by some kind of brainless microorganism.

A friend of our friend from Spain writes in a correspondence that 20-year-olds are now dying.

A 33-year-old woman has died in Ukraine. That is, with all the statistics that the virus is especially dangerous for the elderly, the reality is that people of any age die.

And so far nothing can be done about it.

Therefore, the anxiety of a modern person who knows how to achieve their goals, who knows how to competently promote his services is accompanied by

Impotence

before an unknown threat, which turned out to be beyond his control and threatens with death.

But in order to experience powerlessness (from the word it is to experience and move on, and not to hang or avoid this state), to comprehend this suddenly arisen Reality and to formulate a further meaningful life strategy and come to terms with the possibility of death, it is required

courage, sober emotionally uncluttered mind

and intelligence.

Since few decide on such an understanding, the reactions of most people remain unchanged within the framework of the above psychological defenses.

2. What is in the official statistics does not reflect the real picture of what is happening. You can rely on what they say, or you can understand on your own that everything is much more complicated and try to take care of yourself on your own

Unfortunately, not everyone understands that what is presented in official statistics is not true for one simple reason - not all medical institutions have something to diagnose the virus with. Therefore, there is ARVI, there is pneumonia, the number of which is not mentioned anywhere, but there are cases of coronavirus - 47.

This feeds a conniving and negligent attitude towards the measures taken by the Ukrainian government to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Yesterday an acquaintance with a coughing wife went to do fluorography to exclude pneumonia and were shocked by the line of people standing with the same goal.

A friend from Lugansk called me: "What do you have there? Is everything bad at all?"

"It is normal, everything is adequate to the situation we are in. Adequate measures have been taken to minimize the consequences. What about you?"

"We have nothing."

"In terms of?"

"Schools and kindergartens are working. My children are walking. They say we have no cases of coronavirus."

“All over the world - there is, but in Lugansk - no. Interesting. Why do you think?

Maybe because there are no tests to determine it?"

The friend quickly said goodbye without continuing the conversation.

A friend of her husband said that in their multi-storey building in Kiev, a young guy with pleurisy is in the hospital. They treated rhinitis in a private clinic for 7 days, it turned out to be pneumonia with a lesion, the test for coronavirus is positive, but it has not been included in the statistics until today.

As mentioned earlier, the psyche chooses the most convenient option for protection from anxiety: "This will not affect me" - one of the defenses.

“In China - yes, in Spain - yes, even in Zhitomir - yes, it will affect them, but here on my street in my entrance it will not affect me for sure,” people think and this helps them to live in peace.

Businessman Aleksey Davidenko wrote a post on the FB that tests from China would arrive tonight.

I quote:

“1 million tests, several million masks, is more than enough volume to cover the first wave of patients at risk.

This means that starting from Mon they will arrive in the regions and testing will begin.

You have to be ready.

Starting from Mon, the numbers of detected infections with coronavirus can begin to grow exponentially every hour and can put a lot of pressure on the psyche of people and the political actions of the authorities.

Therefore.

We must remain with a cool head and understand that this will not be a sudden surge in infection - but about … banal identification.

Likewise, with mortality, which can begin to skyrocket.

After all, nobody canceled the statistics of other countries. And mortality continues to be revealed. Where it is detected in the early stages, it is scanty. Where there are no tests at all for weeks and a diagnosis of acute respiratory viral infections and pneumonia is made, it can be depressing.

Evgeny Komarovsky, Viktor Lyashko and many other specialists and experts talk about the only way that can reduce the increase in morbidity and enable medical institutions and doctors to cope with the coronavirus not according to the scenario of Spain and Italy, but in another way - with a lower mortality rate. To do this, you need only one thing - to self-isolate and not leave the house without a critical need. And observe strict hygiene rules.

Do not infect yourself or infect others.

It's time not to rely on chance, on your fictional exclusivity and genius, or on others.

It's time to take care of yourself and your loved ones yourself.

Between life and death to make a conscious choice, for which then you yourself and bear responsibility.

No masks? Sew it yourself.

Don't you believe in their help? Don't waste your energy swearing at them.

Preserve yourself, take care of yourself! If you save yourself, you save others.

3. "This is all that remains after me,

This is all that I will take with me …"

At a time when all attention is focused on bodily symptoms and body care, the importance of emotional experiences seems to elude.

But when the business smells of kerosene, and all the steps of the career ladder and financial well-being that have been established over many years begin to swing underfoot,

when the hands are washed, the door handles are disinfected, when the rhythm of life has slowed down a little and the time previously occupied by vanity remains for reflection, the question naturally arises:

"Why all this?"

"What's the point, Brother?" - remember at Bodrov's?

Recently, in a group for cancer patients, I read a woman's comment under a post about thinking about the punishment of getting cancer.

The woman categorically rejected such a theory, saying that cancer is not a punishment, but perhaps even the grace of God.

"People suddenly die every day from accidental accidents, poisoning, earthquakes or fires, and cancer gives time and opportunity to rethink values, to change attitudes towards life, to a qualitatively different attitude towards people and towards death. It gives an opportunity to find and understand the true meaning of one's own life "…

In general, when a person is faced with an understanding of the finitude of being, many rethink and qualitatively change their lives.

Businessman Yevgeny Chernyak at the FB now writes a lot about how businessmen of various formats and sizes are changing the established traditions and rules. Instead of promoting themselves on the investment of their funds or realizing the desire to make a profit or benefit, a large number of businessmen invest quietly, without publicity. Here's an excerpt from his post:

“After a group of businessmen bought 9 artificial lung ventilation devices and transferred them to hospitals, I decided to purchase medical masks.

For distribution to pensioners, as the most vulnerable part of the population.

When the guys-manufacturers found out who these masks were for and that they were bought for the purpose of free transfer, they made a 50% discount!

That's not all.

I called, thanked and said that I would write about them on my Facebook, almost 200 thousand subscribers, clients will never bother them, they first gave the name of the company, but then asked not to write about them, they say they don’t PR.

We did a good deed and well. Let there be silence, they said.

Your thanks is enough, they say.

Well, cool, very much!

Tomorrow I will transfer 30 thousand masks to Zaporozhye, pensioners and veterans.

Tinctures from dogwood and propolis, raising the immune system (without alcohol) and alcohol hand sanitizer at work!

I am very inspired.

Today I received a call from two central TV channels with a request to turn on and tell about good deeds, but I refused.

He said that good deeds should be done quietly. ….

There is a hackneyed phrase: "Crisis is a time of opportunity."

Everyone understands it in their own way: someone, as mentioned above, is trying to quietly help, someone is trying to make money on the contrary - taking out masks from the country or reselling them at stops for 70-100 UAH. a piece.

In any of these actions, the essence of the soul of a particular person is revealed, although each uses the crisis that has come as his own new opportunity that has arisen.

Like those remember

who was next to Christ on the cross

in the last minutes of his life before his death?

One believed and the other rejected.

After all, it is in the face of death

a person's true face is revealed

and there is an opportunity to become the one

who you really are …
