The family is the place of the closest and most significant interactions between individuals. Therefore, the family has the greatest influence on the functioning of its members, including the personal formation and the formation of the identity of each. This is confirmed by the researcher A. Schutzenberger, who proves that in a family the mental functions of one family member determine the mental functions of another family member.

In order to comprehensively investigate, consider in detail and analyze the concept of "family space", determine its semantic content and structure, let us turn to the concept of symbolic interactionism, which originates from the socio-psychological system of J. G. Mead and the "psychodramatic" theory of J. Moreno.

The concept of symbolic interactionism is based on the belief that human life is a product of social communication, everyday interaction of people, and constant mutual adaptation.

In this case, social interaction (interaction) is considered as that which is mediated by certain symbolic means, with which each participant provides his own interpretation. And symbolic mediators of interaction can be both words and actions and objects.

In his model, J. Moreno relies on the theory of interaction in the context of a game, the author examines a person who “plays a game” together with other individuals. Symbolic mediators of interaction in this context can be considered such identifications as "scenario", "audience", "actor", "mask", etc.

The key concepts in the concept of symbolic interactionism and the "psychodramatic" concept are the concepts of "interaction" (interaction) and "symbol".

In turn, J. G. Mead explains the emergence of symbolically mediated interaction by the need for coordination of human behavior (due to the lack of reliable instincts), as well as the person's ability to form and use symbols. Significant symbols can fulfill their coordinating function only if they are accepted and interpreted by the group. The concept of "mother", "father", "good", "bad", etc. in its unique sound and specific sense is the result of an integral interpretation by a group, from where a separate individual learns these meanings. A person becomes a member of society by virtue of his assimilation of models and norms of group action.

Thus, all interactions (interactions) of an individual occur on five levels:

1) intrapersonal level;

2) the individual-individual level;

3) the level of the individual-group (in this context, it is possible to interact with the group through a separate individual);

4) the level of the individual-society (here it is also possible to interact with society through a separate individual and / or through a certain group);

5) the level of the individual - "universe".

Thus, the family space is the objective conditions (environment) of the family's existence, it is this space that ensures the implementation of the process of interactions within the first, second and third levels.

Family space (as an environment) includes internal and external conditions, which serve as its kind of "fillers". Internal fillers are the characteristics of the family, external ones are the influence of society, cultural and historical conditions (fourth level). Various conditions and influences not only ensure the functioning of a particular family, but also determine its characteristics.

The second part of this topic will be devoted to the criteria for the functioning of the family space.
