This exercise (already some time ago) was born with my client during a session - I covered it in one of my videos. I'll tell you about it in the publication …

If we talk about the general request of psychological work with the client, we investigated the mental reasons for this woman's oncology, studied its internal foundations and tried to weaken the disease.

And so, at one of the therapy meetings, we had the following work … I consider this experience an interesting strategic scheme, useful in dealing with serious illnesses, fears and anxieties … In this connection, I share it with my readers. So…

Psychological study. "Winner of Bastinda". Therapeutic dialogue

- Let's try to represent your illness in the form of an image? What picture comes to your mind? Tell …

- A small, ugly and vicious old woman who wants to kill me …

- Describe it in more detail.

- Skinny; dry with continuous, everlasting hatred; with a huge and crooked nose; unkind eyes; mouth distorted with anger and untidy curls on an old man's head …

- Looks like a fairy witch.

- Yes, on Baba Yaga from children's folklore.

- And this character, as you said, is dangerous enough for you?

- Very dangerous! If you do not cope with it, it will kill.

- Then why oh why let's neutralize it? Ready? To do this, create a sphere of piercing disbelief in the space of your field and place a negative character there.

- I'm ready! Help shape this sphere.

- It is necessary to remember why you feel special skepticism, extreme distrust, doubt, suspicion? Further: to accumulate these feelings in oneself and fill them with the imaginary sphere on the contrary. And then amplify their values with a virtual amplifier (like a sound one). Your sphere should represent broadcasts of desperate disbelief. These are destructive vibrations, dysfunctional properties.

- I understood you. Now I will do everything … I did it. Now what?

- Describe your area to me?

“A poisonous mist reigns there. Everything he touches is subject to spontaneous destruction. This toxic, acidic moisture.

- So … Tell me, are you sorry to place there a dangerous image of an old woman who intends to kill you? This is an allegory of your illness - remember?

- Absolutely not a pity! I repeat: if I can't cope with the witch, she will kill me - I know!

- Well, then place it. And tell me what's going on?

- Oh-oh-oh, the fog eats away at her, she literally disappears before our eyes … It becomes less and less … She is gone. It melted … It turned into a black, oil puddle … My life is now saved …

- Do you know what story your sketch with the old woman reminded me of? You are now fighting Bastinda! From the story about the girl Ellie? Remember Volkov's tale? "The Wizard of Oz"? It was as if you became Ellie and conquered your illness (in the face of the ill-fated image) …

- Blimey! Indeed, it is very similar … Can we use this further?

- Well, of course! As soon as Bastinda begins to come to life again - to thicken and threaten your life, fill an imaginary vessel with the misty moisture of unbelief and sprinkle on it - Bastinda will disappear again…. Do this without waiting for the return of the disease - in advance, a priori … Every day, strengthening the positive results. Literally introduce yourself into the image of little Ellie, always and forever defeating the fabulous Bastinda, and pour the acidic liquid of disbelief and doubt on the dangerous sorceress. Bastinda will melt and disappear again and again …

- Great hint! Thank you! I will use it daily …

Here is such a recipe for an antidote to an evil ailment. The practice can be used in some cases of dealing with fear or anxiety.

This technique is not a universal remedy. Sometimes illness, fear, or anxiety can be successfully negotiated. (I have described cases on this topic in separate articles.) But sometimes the aforementioned cardinal schemes (such as "The Winner of Bastinda") are justified and appropriate. American psychologists K. Simonton, S. Simonton in the famous book "Psychotherapy of Cancer" told readers about the effective use of similar methods of working with cancer (I talked about this in one of my notes).

The case presented in today's article, framed as a separate psychological strategy, is expressive and useful in its own way! It should be borne in mind if necessary.

Good luck, dear readers! I wish you well-being and success!
