I often use the word and the sense of resonance, so it was interesting to look at it from a psychological point of view to understand the depth of this concept.

After all, resonance (French resonance, from Latin resono "I respond") is a frequency-selective response of an oscillatory system to a periodic external influence.

The main difference between the Resonant Counseling method is that the psychologist does not act in a detached research position (as, for example, in psychoanalysis), not in the dialogue of individuals with their rich inner world - the psychologist and the client (humanistic approach), but becomes a "part" of the personality client. To do this, the psychologist is deliberately influenced by the client and at the same time observes what the client "does" with him.

The specificity of P-counseling is to create a special, resonance-based relationship between the psychologist and the client (resonant relationship). Perhaps it was about such communication that CG Jung wrote: "The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances - if they come into resonance with each other, both are transformed."

Even Z. Freud wrote that any client unconsciously already knows the solution to the problem. Therefore, the task of the psychologist is to help him realize his knowledge.

In work, it is important to include in your attention all possible centralizations: that is, to see the client; see yourself; see what he is doing to you; see what you are doing with it; what kind of relationship you have.

As we can see, the work of a psychologist is not easy, tests, drawings and heart-to-heart conversations. It is very important to have your attention, to know where to direct it and to constantly concentrate it. Keep multiple processes in focus at the same time. At the same time, be clean and empty, in a good sense of the word.

Each new meeting is like a blank slate, it is important not to bring your ideas, thoughts and problems there, the specialist must leave all this outside the office door. Then, in tune with the client, the "magic of resonance" occurs when one begins a phrase, and the other already knows how it will end. When there are more words in silence as a couple than in dialogue. When everything is written in a glance and talk to nothing. Then it's a resonance.

And the value of this is that, by learning resonant relationships in the office, we transfer these skills to life. And we easily feel in which relations there is contact, and where it does not resonate. This is a great way to listen to yourself and be in your flow, finding people "on their own wave."
