We all live in a society, so it would be foolish not to understand that society affects us. Moreover, for this, different channels of perception are used, this is the media, the Internet, ubiquitous advertising, and also the people around us. The environment will always be at the top of the influence list. Why? Everything is simple here, our environment for the most part, these are people who are familiar to us, and whose opinion we reckon with.

Of course, among our environment there are people who are more significant and less significant (or we just think so). Naturally, they also influence us. We are all social creatures, and therefore adaptation in society will always be important for us. After all, when you are well socialized (adapted in society) it is easier for you to achieve certain results. Socialization implies sufficient development of emotional intelligence.

EI is also called social intelligence, which allows you to recognize the emotions and desires of a person, as well as the ability to manage your emotions and desires in order to achieve practical goals. One of which is finding happiness.

Along with emotional intelligence, we have another feature, almost all people need approval from their environment. After all, when we are praised, then, we experience joy, our mood improves. The reason is, hormones that enter our brain, hormones of pleasure. This is like in a situation with a student, when for a solved problem, he receives a chocolate bar from a parent. Our brain works in much the same way, while it loves to be praised, and it receives hormones.

It often happens that the influence from the immediate environment becomes unsafe for a person. This happens in situations where a person, using his social intelligence skills, begins to grow. There will always be people around you who will not like it. Although they mask their point of view by caring for the person. And then, opposing the growth of a person, his movement towards happiness, such an environment begins to manipulate.

The true motive of the environment, in such moments, is the fear that it will lose control over this person, and for some (especially the parents), control is very important. And there is also a fear that a person, using socialization skills, will be able to achieve what others cannot or could not achieve at one time. Therefore, the person is less praised and more condemned.

Such a situation can greatly change a person's life, because if he succumbs to manipulation and stops growing, then he most likely will not achieve his happiness. The environment in this case, of course, will give him a simpler recipe for happiness, but is it suitable for a person? Or another option, when a person still chooses development. In this case, relations with others become, to put it mildly, strained. This causes many experiences, some have a strong fear of such changes. For people, relationships with their loved ones are more important than their own happiness. And this, in my opinion, is a betrayal of not only yourself, but also your children.

In all honesty, can you say that your parents or loved ones, who are now against your growth and development, are living a happy life? More often than not, no. But if you think about it, then you should have received happiness "by inheritance." If your development and your personal growth helps you to really become happier, then there is a hope that you will be able to pass this skill on, to become happy, and to your children.

Breaking communication with loved ones, of course, is not worth it, especially with parents, however, to shorten this communication when necessary, perhaps it is still quite possible to agree not to touch on certain topics in communication. Remember that you cannot change your loved ones, but you yourself are quite capable of changing for the better.

Live with joy! Anton Chernykh.
