I chose those that I use quite often in practice, and still it was useful for me to re-realize them again, to ventilate them in my mind. And once again I felt regret that at least some of them do not teach at school. It would be much easier and more interesting to live. Some of them will be familiar to you, some will be new. Something will be incomprehensible, but something, perhaps, will allow you to "invoke insight" I propose to speculate, consider some of them. The map is not a territory. What is it about? Easier to explain through a metaphor. When compiling a geographic map, there will always be distortions. Because you can't fit everything, everything, everything into the map. Plus there is still the purpose of drawing up a map: geographical, where relief is important; a map of forests, where there is more focus on flora; a river map will be more accurate in describing rivers and reservoirs. Etc. In addition, a map from, for example, 1900 may be very inconsistent with the terrain, especially with regard to forests and water bodies. So, in our minds, we create our own map of beliefs about ourselves and the world, highlighting what is more important and meets our needs at the moment. This allows us to orient ourselves in life, but … Due to the fact that the resources of our consciousness are limited, we make a limited map of beliefs. In addition, a belief that is true and supportive in one context can be limiting in another. And just be wrong. Like faith in Santa Claus, the omnipotence of parents, in a caring state, the inviolability of the dollar, and so on. Therefore, any worldview is a map that differs from the territory, any truths are true for their time, and any belief can be revised. The card is not equal to the card. What happens if two different people are asked the question: how do you see the cat? One will describe Siamese, blue-eyed, short-haired. Another would describe, for example, a Briton. That is, the word "cat" will really mean felines, but they will be different cats. Which one is right? If you ask one, what is friendship? Then, for example, he will say that friendship is "an opportunity to call a person at night, and he will listen to you and help you in any way he can. And I will approach him the same way." Another will say "Friendship is an opportunity to have fun, enjoy life, and discuss similar topics." Which one is right? Both, just each of them reasoning from his own map. One word, but the meanings are completely different. Clarifying someone else's card helps in communication and long-term relationships, removes illusions and unrealizable hopes in time. People's reactions correspond to their inner maps. The emotions that arise for the same event depend on the beliefs of the person. For some, the birth of a child is a joy, because he sees this as an extension of himself. For some, this is a source of anxiety, and even a reason to fall into depression, because for a long time you have to abandon the usual way. Somewhere the funeral rite takes place in the form of a celebration, somewhere in the form of mourning and refusal of positive feelings. Accordingly, changes in the cards change the reactions as well. There is a positive intention behind any behavior. Imagine, or remember, how a child rips off the wings of a fly, and then watches how it runs, but cannot take off. Looks like sadism. But if you ask a child what he is doing, then you can hear, for example, "I feel stronger." - And what do you feel when you realize that you are strong? - Calm and security. Or another example. The child broke the cup. You can scold. And you can ask: what did you want? Suddenly it turns out that he wanted to wash the dishes in order to help mom. And what is behind this desire? Feel like an adult, helping, strong somewhere. Or the boss who yells at the team. Why is she screaming? To be heard, understood. And what happens when they hear and understand? Will start to work correctly. And then what? And then I will be calm and joyful. It turns out that the positive intention of the boss's cry is to gain peace and joy. It turns out that the intention behind this behavior is to feel calm and joyful.

Accordingly, by showing in what other ways one can achieve calmness and security, strength, calmness and joy, it is possible to achieve a change in both the behavior of both the child and the adult. Or accept this behavior as it is. Or somehow else to react, achieving their positive intentions. At any given time, a person makes the best choice available. The key word here is "available". We have many options for behavior in a situation, but of all we choose only those that we consider possible for us, those for which we have external and internal resources. And even when a person makes the worst possible choice, for example, suicide, self-harm, violence and other destructive actions and activities for him and those around him, this indicates that he proceeds in activities only from those resources that he is aware of, and therefore for him, this is the best choice at the moment, no matter how scary it sounds. They already have all the resources people need to change. In NLP, there are five groups of resources available to humans. For example, time can be converted into skills (something to learn); material (spending time making money); in connection (to meet someone, to make friends), in information (to google, for example). Skills can be converted in time (learn how to perform actions more efficiently); connections (the better a person knows different communication options, the easier it is to establish the necessary relationships); material (for any job for which money is paid, skills are needed); information (even to turn on the computer and go to Google, you need skills). Etc. It is useful and curious to go over the conversion methods from time to time, especially when faced with difficult problems. When there is a problem or goal, it is useful to ask the question: what resources will help me to more effectively solve the problem / achieve the goal? The universe is abundant in resources. Yes, the resources of the universe are practically endless. A lot of people, information, skills, and a huge amount of material resources, it should be admitted. The question is how to see them, and how to interact with them. And the more flexible a person's world map, the easier it is with the available resources. Change occurs when the appropriate resources are released or activated within a particular context, by enriching the person's world map. There is another expression that explains this presupposition. Problem + resource = solution. It turns out that the solution to the problem, the achievement of the goal, depends on how effectively a person deals with the resources available to him. There are no failures, there is only feedback. I would add that there are no victories either, but why take away the joy? … Any result is a feedback on how we use resources, how competently and efficiently in relation to the goals achieved. The meaning of communication lies in the reaction that it evokes. We are driven by both conscious and unconscious motives and desires. And if as a result of communication we do not get exactly what we intended, then it is worth looking into ourselves deeper. Often the result obtained is the real motive that drove all the communication. Quite a difficult presupposition to understand, but once you understand it, and many events in life will take on a different color, but with a competent study of unconscious goals, the whole life changes. Mind and body inevitably influence each other. A simple example of the influence of consciousness on the body. You can imagine a lemon, and how a drop rolls off of it onto the tongue. If you imagine it clearly enough, the body will begin to respond: to secrete saliva. The influence of the body on the psyche can be described through an example of excessive satiety, when mindfulness is dulled, emotions become less vivid and varied. You can go pretty far in conclusions, sometimes even in fantasy. Nevertheless, the approach to some diseases as to psychosomatics often leads / promotes recovery. Also, the use of drugs helps to change the mental state. In a specific context, each form of behavior is useful and has value. There are adults who are usually called “touchy”. That is, they feel and demonstrate resentment in cases where there is room for other reactions in the cards of other people. Aggression, for example, or laughter, or some other reaction that translates communication into a more constructive channel or stops it with less losses. But expression of resentment was once useful, wasn't it? In childhood in relation to adults. When they are definitely stronger, and aggression towards them would not bring anything but retaliatory aggression and even more suppression. And through resentment, it was possible to show that yes, I had given up for now, and to get out of aggressive communication. Or to receive from adults what they did not want to give, when the child "is already good." So a pattern has been preserved that was effective at one time in adulthood. The personality of a person and his behavior are different phenomena; we are more than our behavior. Our psyche is prone to generalizations and categories. This both protects from the scattering of the limited resource of attention, and leads to generalizations that often interfere with productive communication with others. Because if I communicate with a "fool", then what can I take or give useful from him? And if I communicate with a person who, from my point of view, acts foolishly in some situations, then it is quite possible that I will find how to get something useful and important in communicating with him, and share my own. This is especially important for teachers. If a child is a "dumb" in literature, but he solves problems in a cool way, then, perhaps, it will be much more productive to call, since he is drawn, "talent" in mathematics, but at the same time remember that he does not know literature well. Subjective experience consists of images, sounds, feelings, tastes and smells. What is it about? The fact that all events, people, phenomena, both having a prototype in reality, and entirely fictional, in the psyche are displayed through images in which there is / can be: - a visual component. That is, the image has size, brightness, location, contrast. - the auditory component. The image can sound. Even if it doesn't sound, you can always imagine what the sound would be if it sounded. Useful in some cases. - you can feel the weight of the image, its smell, warmth, even taste. All this can be useful for achieving changes in psychological work, both with a counselor and with oneself. Even with beliefs, you can make your work easier if you work through images. Not to mention phobias or communication problems.
