We are used to dividing emotions into good and bad. Observe the children. They are sincere in every emotion. They do not yet understand the clear line between good and bad emotion. They allow the impulse that has arisen inside them to go out. The smaller the child, the more we are touched by the manifestation of his anger, anger, jealousy, resentment.

You can often hear this phrase: he is so emotional! And which of us is without emotion? Such people exist, and there is a special term for them - "alexithymia", only they can hardly be found in everyday life.

Good, positive emotions inspire and inspire us and those around us. If I show pleasant emotions, I am a good person in the eyes of others.

Bad, negative emotions fold our wings. If I show negative emotions, in the eyes of others I am emotional and difficult with me.

I heard a dialogue on public transport, which said that all diseases are from anger and anger, you need to control yourself and not show them. I thought about it. Anger, rage, anger can really lead to illness. Much has been said and written about this. Only I see it differently.

Emotions are an internal reflection of the outside world. Emotions redirect their energy to different psychic realities. If we consider that emotion is energy, then it has its sources. The source of our emotions is the world outside of us.

To fill a vessel with clean water, it must be emptied. Also with emotional energy. To update her, she needs to be given a way out. Sometimes we say to our beloved “I love you,” and sometimes this love overwhelms us so much that we want to shout about it.

We can shout about love, sing songs, hug our beloved tightly.

And what about anger, anger, aggression?

One of the theories explaining the nature of aggressiveness, psychoenergetic, says that aggressive instinct meant a lot in the process of evolution, survival and adaptation of a person. But the rapid development of scientific and technical thought and progress have overtaken the naturally current biological and psychological maturation of man. This led to a slowdown in the development of inhibitory mechanisms of aggression, which inevitably entails a periodic external expression of aggression. If you do not give an outlet for aggression, internal tension will accumulate and create "pressure" inside the body until it leads to an outbreak of uncontrollable behavior (the principle of releasing steam from a locomotive boiler).

Let me return to the dialogue in transport, in my mind the process of "holding myself in hand" and the process of letting off steam only not outside, but inside the body, were drawn. When we restrain ourselves, even if it is for a second, for a moment, we suppress our emotion. We PRESS from the word PRESS, in other words we press it and accumulate - accumulate - accumulate, and then we get sick.

We are told: "do not be angry." But what if there is anger?

Growing up, children begin to be ashamed of the manifestations of negative emotions. They are taught this by their parents. Children are told that this is not possible, how can they not be ashamed. But none of us are taught how to deal with negative emotions. And they are. As a result, we begin to deny emotions with a minus sign and accept only with a plus sign.

Nature never lies. If emotions of different polarities are embedded, then they have their own function.

Letting emotions be does not mean showing them to people or nature. Allowing emotions to be is to find an ecological way to release them, without harming yourself and the world around you. At the very least, you can begin to voice an emotion that responds in you to what is happening. You may be angry, annoyed, and so on. Having said this, you will already be a little free.

And finally: there is such a thing as dichotomy. For every positive emotion there is a pair of it, that is, a negative emotion: love-hate, joy-anger, etc. The degree and strength of manifestation of all emotions depends on a person's temperament. By restraining and drowning out negative emotion, its vapor is also dulled, otherwise there will be no balance. Don't be overwhelmed by negative emotions. Use them to get to know yourself, look for their "half", "couple" in positive emotions under the + sign
