Socrates said: "The most important thing in life is Sofrosyunite." What do you think the great philosopher considered the most important? … The correct answer: Moderation … Buddha learned the path of wealth and asceticism. He echoed Socrates that the healthy path is the middle path, without extremes and anguish. As the saying goes: The quieter you go - the further you will be. The Ukrainian proverb says: "Sho zanadto, then not sane". Let there be a measure of everything.
For example, Purposefulness. Consider both poles: Strong Purpose and Lethargy. Lethargy, apathy were attacked by society, called laziness and uprooted from the inner depths by volitional methods similar to violence. A strong sense of purpose was encouraged, set as an example. Previously, these were called real communists. The only point is that strong Purposefulness is an excessive effort to overcome obstacles that stand in the way of a goal. Such excessive efforts lead to Manic Depressive Psychosis.
In a state of over-effort, the personality is upset to the Manic phase, and in this phase of overwhelming forces, beginnings take place. However, the body consumes energy, including the emergency supply. And then it slides into the opposite phase - Depressive, asthenic, apathetic. In this phase, in addition to suffering, the body also rests, gains strength and sleeps.
Society does not consider the human body as one that consumes energy, depletes, gets tired and requires reimbursement of spent resources. No, people are considered biorobots, whose resources are not limited. This, of course, flatters human pride, because then man is equal to the Gods. And here hello to our Narcissistic part. A person, of course, has potential, but he has boundaries. Why then eat, sleep, rest.
And if the energy supply is irretrievably spent, then psychosomatic diseases are also possible, which will be bedridden for a while. For example, you are tired, but you yourself do not give yourself a rest voluntarily. The socialist system no longer exists, but the slogan remains: "Five-year plan - in 3 years." Then suddenly, unexpectedly, the flu knocks down. And in such a not cunning way, the body allows itself to lie down, gain strength and energy. Of course, the flu is not psychosomatics. But the flu in the body missed the undermined immunity. They undermined the immune system by violence against themselves and this is of a psychosomatic nature.
It is not easy for the body with our mind and bright ideas. These ideas do not measure the strength of the individual: neither physical nor moral, and pull forward towards a brighter future. And often to destruction.
