Often, adult men 40 years old, plus or minus 10 years, live together with their mother. Some men tried to start families, but their families collapsed. The destructive relationship between mother and son has deep roots that go back to early childhood: overprotection, suppression of independence, responsibility, and others, lead to maladjustment. This relationship between them is considered normal, although it can cause discomfort for both.
Here are some reasons:

3) Household convenience. The habit of parents to provide a home life makes even an adult man dependent. No need to wash, clean, always cooked food, no need to pay rent. Money can only be spent on your own pleasures.
4) Psychological attachment. Fear of losing the already comfortable conditions that have developed over the years. Fear of meeting and communicating with girls, intimophobia
5) Physical abnormalities. Physical deformities. Physiological disorders, persistent impotence, decreased sex drive
6) Dependencies. Alcoholism, drug addiction, food addiction, computer addiction, gambling addiction, etc.
7) Reckless lifestyle. Enjoyment of a free life, no problems with finances, with appearance and attention of women Caring for children and a wife is not included in the plans of a man.
8) Mom's son. Deep emotional attachment of mom and son. Mom does everything better. For the mother of a woman, the son of a rival. There are reasons why daughters-in-law are unworthy to be the wife of her beloved son.
9) The man is lazy. There is no desire to start a family, work, earn money, improve your life, be independent, be responsible.
10) Distortions of the reality of life. Unrealizable fantasies. The man and his mother dream that sometime in the future he will have his own happy family. But dreams are abstract and no action is taken towards this.
