Study, study and study again - as the great Lenin bequeathed. We must pay tribute and Vladimir Ulyanov himself studied remarkably, graduated from high school with a gold medal. However, were all famous and successful people excellent students?
Alas, reality says that this is far from the case:
- Dmitry Mendeleev had a top three in chemistry;
- Winston Churchill studied from two to three and was considered one of the weakest students in the class;
- Leo Tolstoy had unsatisfactory grades in Russian history and the German language;
- Alexander Pushkin was hopeless in many subjects and had zero in mathematics;
- Thomas Edison was diagnosed with dementia as a child and was expelled from school;
- Joseph Brodsky was a repeater and had bad marks in physics, chemistry, mathematics and English;
- Albert Einstein had a C in physics and a C in mathematics;
- Count Grigoriy Potemkin-Tavrichesky was expelled with the explanation “being too lazy and not joining the classes”;
- Vladimir Mayakovsky skipped lessons, was a bully and a poor student;
- Konstantin Tsiolkovsky is a repeater, and he was completely expelled from the third grade of the gymnasium for poor progress;
- Isaac Newton was catastrophically behind in physics and mathematics, and in general he was the worst student in the class;
- Anton Chekhov twice stayed in the second year and had two marks in geography and arithmetic …
I remind these facts to those parents who do not stop repeating to their children about their studies: "you must", "you are obliged", "you just need", which in no way affect the increase in motivation for learning and the process of assimilating knowledge, but only make children hate cramming …
This is especially strange when the calls for the benefits of learning are made by parents who themselves, to put it mildly, passed by at school, confuse the Strait of Magellan with the Bering Strait, do not distinguish between Nekrasov's poems and Akhmatova, and have not picked up a single book over the past year. But this circumstance does not prevent them from demanding A's in all subjects. When children need help in some subject, it causes a storm of indignation: "stop pestering me with such stupid requests, you are learning for yourself!"
Parents from early childhood are the indisputable authority for their children. Therefore, if mom and dad and without encyclopedic knowledge have settled in life well, then why should children strain ?!
Do you know why parents demand excellent grades, namely grades, and not knowledge, because it is pleasant and prestigious to say in the company, among colleagues, and mine is an excellent student, I won first place at the Olympiad, received a diploma, etc. What is the real knowledge at the same time, how useful it is in professional determination, and just in life - a secondary question, on which such parents are not accustomed to "hang".
Dear mothers and fathers, and with them grandmothers and grandfathers, aunts and uncles, so that the study of children proceeds without strain and stress, and in an interesting and useful way, as a result, being awarded with excellent grades - you must take the most active part in the school life of your children and be by example in everything. And without this - no way!

Learning To Say No Is Important For A Child
If you always obey your mom, dad, grandmother, educator, teacher, then how can you say no to those peers who offer to smoke, drink? The ability to say no is honed at 3-4 years old, and at 13-14 years old it is too late. An important social skill of self-defense that was not developed in childhood is already difficult to develop.
Psychotherapeutic Tale. Learning Kindness And Friendship
Albert Einstein, who has an outstanding intelligence, said: “If you want your children to be smart, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be even smarter, read them more stories. " The fairy tale not only entertains the child, but also encourages reflection, awakens the imagination and develops the sensual sphere.
JUST LEARNING TO WAIT
People like me lack patience. When it's time for a quantum leap, you want everything to happen instantly. But it should be understood that the jump is preceded by the accumulation of a certain critical mass of potential - and this does not happen at the snap of your fingers.
Learning To Communicate Effectively
With therapy, we improve our lives. This process is not fast and responsible. In the meantime, we are dealing with our internal problems, what to do with others and with the current order of things in communicating with them? We are surrounded by people whom we cannot change.
Learning To Deny People Without Feeling Guilty
Most people are familiar with the unpleasant feeling when they have to refuse someone a request. At the same time, the refusing person feels awkward, although he does nothing wrong. The origins of guilt feelings. How often parents teach their children to sacrifice their interests for the sake of the team, to help everyone who needs help.
