The Tale of the Transparent Child
Once, in a very prosperous family, a Child was born. They have been waiting for him since then, when the future mom and dad met, fell in love and decided to start a family. Having learned that they will have a child, they arranged a real holiday in his honor! And then, for another whole nine months they waited for him, imagining which of them he would look like.
And the miracle happened! All relatives gathered in their house to congratulate the young parents and say hello to the Child. He was lying in a sunny room, a line of smiling and agonizing guests circled the snow-white bed, the whole world admired and loved him at that moment.
This is how his life began, filled with attention and love. Every day, my mother smiled at him, sang songs and fed him delicious milk. Dad, returning from work, first of all hurried to the Child, gently shook his little hand and said how bored he was. The world loved him.
The child played with toys, learned to walk, and even uttered the first words - oh, and there was delight when he first said "mom-dad"! Parents led a round dance around him, mom called him with affectionate words and hugged him, dad picked him up in his arms and threw him to the ceiling … The world loved him.
Day after day, the Child grew up and sometimes even traveled around the house, in which there were almost no unexplored corners. He could already for some time remain in his room alone with himself. Parents increasingly spoke the words:
- You are already big, play it yourself.
The child loved his parents and obediently played with toys. Sometimes he went up to mom or dad to tell about something, mom and dad listened, nodded and even said how great he was. But their gazes were looking at him at the same time, and as if through him. The child even came up with a special game - to stand in front of mom or dad, without saying anything, pretend that he is not, and count how many minutes it will take to be noticed.
And the mother began to manage to look at the Child and not see him! And the Pope! Only once, when the Child broke his mother's favorite cup, invisibility did not work, and I had to listen to very unpleasant words … "Well," the Child decided, "I will train and become completely transparent." He came to his parents in the living room, stood next to them, and stood for a long time, watching them read the newspaper, watch TV, talk on the phone …
Sometimes he went to the mirror to make sure that the outline of the room was showing through his image more and more clearly. He did this until nothing was reflected in the mirror except furniture. Happened…
The family gathered every evening for dinner, everyone shared the news, wished each other good night and went to their rooms. Life went on quietly, until one evening a terrible event happened - my mother ran into a ghost in an empty room!
Strictly speaking, there was no ghost - she just bumped into something invisible, but very tangible. Oh, and there was a cry! First of all, the mother was afraid for the Child, she ran around the house, found him nowhere and burst into tears. Dad came running from his room, they went around the whole house twice, shouted at each other, called the Child and begged the Ghost to return him to them.
They were still circling the room, arms outstretched, when suddenly Daddy's hand touched something warm and invisible … Dad stopped, touched the air, stroked it, stroked it a little more … His eyes were looking with all their might at the empty space in the middle of the room. Mom came closer and began to help dad to watch.
They watched for a very, very long time. Until they began to see something, almost transparent, slowly emerging and transforming into their Child. And so he fully manifested, smiled and said:
- Hey! I miss you!
They hugged each other, cried together, mom and dad told the child how much they loved him and how they were afraid that they had lost him forever. And they took out a big cake from the fridge to celebrate
meeting.
Since then, the Child has never had to play with transparency again.
