What is anxiety? It is an emotion or feeling (depending on whether you are aware of anxiety or not) that reflects the assumption that in the current circumstances it is possible to somehow (or from something) suffer.
How do you understand that you are worried?
First option - you realize that there is a certain danger to you in the situation. Not necessarily associated with a physical threat. It can be a premonition of any possible loss. This way of defining anxiety is possible, but rarely used, since anxiety narrows the mind. Yes, and the danger is not always clear and specific.
Second option - translate your experiences into images. That is, to ask what my experience is like. Anxiety images are images of danger, threat, risk, loss, damage. This method of defining anxiety is also possible, but it is used even less often, since it requires not only the volume of consciousness, but also the ability to generate images.
The third option - count your bodily reactions. And now it is important to highlight two main bodily forms of anxiety.
The first form of anxiety is lived anxiety.
Such anxiety is characterized by a feeling of palpitations, rapid breathing, tremors in the body, behavioral fussiness, increased bowel function, anxious urination (you often run to the toilet), dry mucous membranes, sweating, or a feeling of cold. Usually, in the perception of such sensations as sensations of anxiety, problems do not arise.
The second form of anxiety is suppressed anxiety.
But here there may already be problems. Since the sensations in this case, outwardly, may not be associated with anxiety in any way. Here the following sensations can be distinguished: tinnitus, tension headaches, deterioration of vision clarity, lump in the throat, shortness of breath, extrasystoles, heart pains, increased pressure, muscle pain (lower back, legs), tingling sensation (paresthesia). Such sensations are associated with the fact that you not only experience anxiety, but also automatically try to contain it. The key point is on the machine. That is, it happens unconsciously.
An important nuance - many people scare themselves with the physical sensations of pent-up anxiety. Associating these sensations with health risks and perceiving them as some kind of unexplained physical pathology. Although, in fact, in this case, you are afraid of anxiety. Here is such a paradox.

The episode described in the article happened to me in December 1995. I was just starting then to practically apply Gestalt therapy. I acted mostly intuitively. But, then, quite often he returned to him in communication with colleagues and clients.
Amazon Katerina Or About Ass, Bodily Shame And Narcissistic Trauma
Honestly, I was not going to return to the topic of fitness, bodily beauty, abs and pumped up buttocks, this is absolutely not my topic. And she would not, if it were not for the girl Katerina, who wrote that she personally is going to win in the fight for men, and men, as everyone knows, love slender, fit and with elastic buttocks.
How Insight Works: A Clear Bodily Marker
How insight works: congruence and system. One of the great advantages of insight as a method is the presence of a clear bodily (i.e. physically tangible) marker of the authenticity of the process and the success of its completion. This marker is pain.
A WORD WITH THE LETTER "TR": WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT ANXIETY AND ANXIETY PEOPLE?
Anxiety disorder is a world of three "Hs": the world is not reliable, not in control, not safe. Every event that disrupts the routine / algorithm triggers an anxiety (optionally panic / phobic) attack, reinforcing these beliefs. The anxious always live in the future.
