Mindfulness is not only the ability to reason for one's own actions, allowing the rational mind to triumph. Awareness is acceptance of oneself as the creator and creator of one's experience, penetration into the very essence of all things and awareness of the mechanism of creation. When the mechanism of creation becomes clear, creation becomes intentional and becomes enjoyable.
I remember how at school I could not fall in love with physics … until I understood it! Physics "happened" to me during my long school years. I fumbled in cramped formulas and despised them for putting the poetry of my soul on the balcony. However, at the moment when, by chance, the logic of physics sat on a suitable shelf in my head, the world around me changed - and I understood everything.
Why is becoming more mindful is cool?
Because from a chaotic, frozen biomass that removes you from business and decides your fate in your office, the world around you turns into a mechanism governed by laws - laws that can be learned and used to create what you want, and not what something like that”happened.
There are four basic steps to developing awareness:
- See the self-deception that the person is doing.
- Realize that the world is a large mirror, where everything around us is our aspects that we project outward (and which, by the way, it's time to put it back together).
- To find that everything that happens to you, you have drawn to yourself in order to give yourself the opportunity to develop.
- Consider rationality, orderliness, and organization around you. Embrace the paradox of creation.
The first three steps are practical. The fourth step follows as a natural conclusion that a person makes himself on the basis of the discovered results.
The main snags for developing mindfulness are closed thinking and the habit of shifting responsibility for decision making to other people.
As long as thinking is closed, a person is in the paradigm of a rehearsed worldview. As taught - so it does. For a person with a closed mindset, education ends after school. At best, after university. But you shouldn't point your finger at a person like a leper. To one degree or another, closeness of thinking is inherent in each of us. Nobody likes it when their settled, understandable world, acting according to learned laws, begins to roll down the drain.
The habit of shifting responsibility for our lives onto the shoulders of others (parents, experts, politicians) explains why we feel helpless in the face of harsh reality. Moreover, we turned everything upside down, calling the reality "harsh". It is harsh only when we believe that it exists apart from us.
Our whole life has come down to trying to "placate" reality. "Propagation" is achieved through manipulation (in relationships with other people); direct physical, violent influence (striving for immeasurable power) and even spiritual self-development (“I pump the Kundalini so that the severity of the world is nothing to me”).
Let's walk through the stages of developing awareness:
See the self-deception that the person is doing
Self-deception is the mind's ability to convince you of what you need. For survival, of course. Physical and social survival.
Social survival should not be underestimated. Man is a social being, dependent on the care and love of other people more than on material comfort. In a society reoriented from relationships to enriching themselves, people feel isolated and alone. We sense that other people cannot accept us in our entirety, and we begin to manipulate them to get their attention. Hence the overestimated desire for fame, the manual on winning friends of Dale Carnegie, the courses of the Vedic woman and the notorious pickup truck.
Self-deception is about maintaining a stable sense of self, protecting one's goodness, and shielding one's motives before other people's motives (also known as double standards), and making assumptions: "he did it because …" In short, self-deception is the story that we push inside every day.
See that the world is a big mirror
Ever heard of projection? Projection is the main way of the One Mind to know itself.
In the same person, different people see completely different sides. We react specifically to these parties, and not to the people themselves. In other words, while communicating with another person, we interact not with this person himself, but with those aspects that WE project onto him.
The world order, where everything around is a mirror image of yourself, is perfectly reasonable! It helps us see aspects that we do not accept in ourselves (for example, as people who annoy us), and consciously choose to integrate them.
There are many processes for integrating repressed aspects of oneself. This includes gestalt, and working with the inner child, and body-oriented therapy, and speaking thoughts out loud, and regressive hypnosis. The deeper the suppression, the more liberating the work being done.
To find that everything that happens to you, you have drawn to yourself in order to give yourself the opportunity to develop
Any event, even the most negative one, contains a hint for moving forward. Play the game: Throughout the day, observe your emotions and ask yourself this question: Thanks to this event, what should I see? What is my subconscious trying to show me? What aspects of myself am I suppressing? What am I afraid to see in myself?
The human body is not a saboteur. Your body is always on your side. Your body is always behind you. If you feel discomfort inside, your body is urging you to pay attention to what is happening and to resolve it.
Many traumas continue to surface as emotions first released during the original trauma. A conscious person notices these emotions, sees and "dives" into them, and does not suppress or ignore, putting off life for later.
