The moment that people who have undergone psychotherapy become much more successful is probably already not a secret for anyone. But why this happens and what side effects psychotherapy has, let's look at it today.
It is important to understand that in this case I will be talking about non-medical psychotherapy, psychotherapy for healthy people, and the neurotic level of personality organization. Although, for a person with psychological or mental illness, psychotherapy will also contribute to recovery and improvement of the condition.
In general, I noticed a long time ago, even on my own, that the more regular my psychotherapy is, for example, once a week, every week without interruption, well, perhaps for some holidays. The more successful my business is, the calmer, freer and with less fatigue I experience some events in my life, work, and so on.
How does this happen?
1. The first is, of course, thanks to regular psychotherapy, you release your stress. This is such a superficial level, when you came, were able to tell, to speak out about what worries, strains. Put everything on the shelves together with the therapist. Understand how to move on and what to do with this, this, and that. That is, together to find out why the problem arose and how it can be solved. For example, at the moment when I wanted to quit my job, I talked about it in therapy and came to the conclusion that I don't want to quit my job, I just want to relax. And therapy makes it possible for this mental rest.
2. The second thing I would like to say is that therapy makes it possible, learns to bring the work started to the end. To delve into its depth and do not give up what you started halfway. For example, I had something like this, sometimes I could not bring the job to the end, and then I regretted that I quit, because there was very little left. This is not the case in therapy, if you do give up, then you act consciously. And then you don’t regret that you quit.
3. The third is awareness. Because therapy gives an increase in awareness. It leads to an understanding of why I experience this or that feeling, state. The understanding that now I am very tired and therefore I am experiencing such a state, but here I really need to disown any duties in order to have more free time, more rest. But I like this part of the work, I want to leave it, etc.
And accordingly, the higher the level of awareness, the more interesting the process of work itself becomes. For example, now I am talking about work, because we are talking about success, and for many, success is about work, wealth, etc. Although, in fact, success can be not only in work, it is also successful in relationships, an internal state, feelings, when it does not matter to you what is outside, you are confident in yourself inside and this will be enough for you. After all, you can earn three kopecks, but they will be enough, and you will feel good, comfortable and happy. Because you will do what you like.
You can even say that one of the side, but very important and necessary effects of psychotherapy is that you will only do what you like. And this greatly improves the quality of your work and the quality of your experiences, your inner life. After all, after you have gone through this whole path of mental war, with suffering, possibly with tears, snot, worries, pain. You will no longer undertake to do some business that you do not like, that will not bring you pleasure or satisfaction. You will only do what you like, only what you really need.
4. Well, the last, but not least, point, probably, on the contrary, even one of the most important is that in the process of psychotherapy, one way or another, you work through a huge part of your traumas.
Because everyone has injuries. You were not born in an open field, you were not raised by a robot, a human robot who did not have flaws that were passed on to you or because of which you experienced some painful experiences.
Each mother, each family leaves some kind of trauma in our souls, maybe a small one, or maybe a big one - it doesn't matter. But any of them affects us. Why, after working through trauma, people become more successful, because trauma takes half of a person's energy. A huge amount of energy is spent on leaving the consequences of trauma in the unconscious, so that we can control ourselves, not break down, not burst into tears somewhere where we would not like to do this.
And now therapy helps these injuries to be gently, piece by piece, piece by piece, to gradually survive. Because we are so arranged, our psyche protects us very much. She will not betray everything at once, all the trauma, all the experiences, emotions, because so, we would simply come to psychosis. No. The psyche protects us - and for this, many thanks to her. After all, her defense mechanisms protect us from a huge amount of emotions, which are simply impossible to experience all at once.
Therefore, in psychotherapy, we all experience dosed out, step by step, and over time this swamp leaves us. And at the moment when the trauma leaves, a huge amount of energy is released from a person, which now we can direct not to fight with ourselves, but, for example, to compete. To fight to knock out your place in the world under the sun. And these efforts are much more effective and targeted. You have focus, all your attention is directed towards the goal. And where there are focuses of attention, there is success. Where there is a desire and a real need, where there is this reliance on my inner want, there is also success. Which I sincerely wish you. Therefore, if you are thinking of going to psychotherapy or not going, then, of course, I will tell you: go - this is a matter of course. Because a side effect of psychotherapy is also a success, in addition to improving your inner state, etc. Thanks to psychotherapy, you will be able to calm down, you will be able to experience many moments in life much easier, and you will be able to achieve what you want with greater efficiency. And this is a fact. This has been verified by my own experience. And this is a quality stamp.
