Remember how children are waiting for the holiday - watch your children or plunge into childhood memories and touch the anticipation of something magical. It may seem like a silly idea, but as soon as you slow down a little and let your childhood memories affect you, tears will come to your eyes.
I watch with pleasure with what delight my three-year-old son is waiting for the new year or his birthday. He thinks about these holidays, remembers them, tells my husband and me how he blew on the candles or how he found a gift under the tree. How much energy, delight, inspiration, and most importantly - faith in the magic of the holiday in his words!
It's not just that I remembered about children - the truth is that adults create a holiday for children. On the one hand, this is wonderful - the child finds himself in the center of the magic and sincerely believes in a fairy tale, on the other hand, it can play a cruel joke with him when he becomes an adult.
I am approached by adults who sincerely believe that someone else should organize a holiday for them - a beloved man, colleagues or friends. Guess with a gift, make a stunning surprise or arrange an enchanting holiday program. And they get offended if it doesn't happen or if something goes wrong.
It's great when loved ones know your preferences and imagine what kind of gift you would like to receive. It's great when they have the desire and opportunity to organize a festive event for you. But most often people are disappointed - they chose the wrong flowers, they did not guess the right one with the gift, and in general, everything is wrong and everything is wrong!
Unfortunately, many people in this place are disappointed and offended, it happens that forever, and stop believing in a fairy tale and wait for a holiday. Indeed, what kind of holiday is it when everything is not the way you want it? It's better not to celebrate any holidays at all, it's all nonsense.
☝️ But there is good news in this - no one knows you better than yourself. You know all your whims, all your wishes and preferences, all the nuances and little things - what it should be, YOUR holiday. You are that adult who can arrange your holiday at the highest level!
