The modern rhythm of life dictates its own terms, and many women have gone headlong into business. Moreover, they are so busy with business that they simply do not have time for a family, and sometimes they simply cannot create one.

How to become a successful business woman and at the same time have a friendly and strong family? How to create it in conditions of constant employment?

How to maintain your individuality and learn how to combine work and family? Some practical tips will help you understand the situation.

There is a stereotype in society that in business a woman is inferior in abilities to a man. She does not have enough authority and competence in business matters. In fact, the situation is completely different.

It is much more difficult for a woman in business, since she is not perceived as a leader, it is difficult for her to give significance and authority, especially when it comes to the male team. Partners and colleagues of the opposite sex believe that ladies do not have the necessary level of competence in management issues.

Unlike a man, a woman at first has to make a lot of efforts in order to gain authority. But the task is simplified by an important advantage of her character: she is more flexible and sensitive.

Men are logical and often straightforward. Since the basis of their actions is logic, they make many decisions very hard. But it is precisely this feature of male thinking that greatly harms the motivation and interest of staff in business development.

When making a decision, a woman performs the function of a kind of mediator between the result of work and the team: she feels the mood of the employees, knows how to organize an individual approach to everyone, and when making a decision is based on the opinion of the team.

Self-affirmation of a woman in the role of a leader

Self-perception. It is important for a woman to find herself in the role of a boss, and not to imitate men and, moreover, compete with them. A woman needs to understand and understand how she positions herself in this role. It depends only on her how the collective will perceive her. And the way she perceives herself determines the attitude of other people towards her.

Self-confidence. You need to learn to trust your intuition and decisions. A woman's ability to hear and listen to herself allows her to make subtle and correct decisions.

It is imperative to use women's talents and sides, apply them in business and in relationships with people. She needs to understand what she is capable of doing as a man, and what in a different way, as a woman. I'll make a reservation: not worse, namely in a different way!

You need to learn how to translate negative into positive. The team needs to be able to hear and respond to moods and requests in it.

A woman naturally has one trait that sometimes manifests itself on an unconscious level - we are talking about hints with which a woman has the habit of "communicating" with colleagues. The leader in such a situation believes that her colleagues will guess her intentions themselves. It is important to consider such a trait in yourself and learn how to give instructions as clearly and concisely as possible, speak out, etc.

You should not be afraid to ask for help if you cannot cope with something, and the colleague is more competent in the matter.

It is completely unacceptable in a difficult situation to give vent to your emotions without controlling them. The natural emotionality of a woman often interferes with doing business, it is especially difficult to cope with the flow of emotions that are uncontrollable. A business woman must learn to control and manage these splashes. For this, you can use a special technique. It is important to learn to recognize the moment of their influx, before they overflow the boundaries of what is permissible, and to start an internal dialogue. How does this happen? Just! You ask yourself, “What upsets me at the moment? Does it make me angry or does it upset me? If it makes me angry, then something meaningful was taken away from me, but what is it? While you will find out inside yourself and get to the bottom of the essence, the emotional flow will begin to subside and it remains only to take a deep breath and continue to work further.

Next, a woman needs to figure out what her strengths and weaknesses are. For example, by nature, a woman treats colleagues as children (in a good sense). She subtly senses the needs of other people and their mood. A woman knows how to neutralize a conflict situation, while both parties will benefit. Women succeed in inspiring the team and motivating them so that even ambitious plans come true. From my own experience: in order to fulfill the sales plan, I was able to persuade my team to go to work on weekends, and even work on December 31st. Interestingly, it was not difficult for me, because I just asked about it, and the guys reacted quite normally to the situation. We were united by our belief in business, and we loved our business. The result was so high that the team received material rewards and moral satisfaction.

A woman is an excellent negotiator who knows how to convince an opponent. I personally know a business woman who has a talent for building strong business relationships. She managed to sign several contracts that were beyond the power of men.

How, as a leader, not to upset the balance of "woman - business"?

From my own experience, I can say that this is quite possible. But in this case, it is necessary to correctly distribute the roles. Dividing the time for work and home in half is possible if the woman does not have a family.

However, if you have a husband and children, you will have to prioritize - either a successful business or a strong family. It is about the need to select priorities and redirect time, personal resources, etc. to them.

It is a woman who must understand for herself what is more important to her. You can reallocate the time as follows: 70% should be allocated to the family, and the remaining 30% - to work. Or distribute the time in the reverse order, if the woman is not particularly interested in the family (this also happens). In practice, I had to make sure that it was impossible to keep up everywhere. If you divide your time equally, you will fail both in your work and in your family relationships.

How to become a good leader and still preserve your feminine nature?

- Do not deny your feminine nature and learn to accept yourself;

- No need to choose male business tactics, even if you clearly know how a man will act in a certain situation;

- Trust your own instinct and act according to your own understanding;

- Listen to the team and make it clear that everyone in it is part of a common cause;

- Be sure to learn to admit your mistakes and correct them;

- Allow yourself to be wrong;

- You need to remain a woman, not hiding strengths and weaknesses, but controlling and managing them.

The effectiveness of a leader by gender has not yet been proven. However, women are less trusted because there is always a risk of choosing between career and family.
