Anxiety is usually a derivative of other experiences and is born on the basis of fear, helplessness, powerlessness in front of external circumstances and self-doubt. And this emotion, characterized by vague arousal associated with potential loss and the urge to get rid of this experience in all ways.

If the anxiety is not situational in nature, then it manifests itself as a baseless, indefinite worry that is not associated with a real threat. This will indicate blocked deeper feelings that are not allowed to be realized, or as a hereditary-conditioned personality trait.

When the level of anxiety is extremely high, panic attacks appear. If with phobias, anxiety is increased and is looking for a way to rationalize itself, turning into a specific fear, then with panic attacks the level of anxiety is even higher and it no longer looks for a specific object for implementation. Anxiety just comes out and takes the person by surprise. This can happen anywhere: on the subway, in a bank, in a store, just on the street, etc.

The formation of anxiety disorders is influenced by: biological prerequisites; weak contenting of anxiety by parents, codependency, suppression of aggression and avoidance of strong experiences, be it fear or expressive positive experiences.

Very often, the comfort zone of anxious people is very narrow and tight, and it is very easy to accidentally push them out of there. At the same time, any exit from the comfort zone causes additional anxiety and threatens with the appearance of another panic attack.

In addition to drug treatment, sports, breathing exercises, meditation, autogenic training and other relaxation exercises help to reduce the symptom.

Eliminate the cause of anxiety disorders in long-term work with a psychologist. The most suitable methods in therapy are considered: cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy focused on panic (PFPP-Bush), gestalt therapy, Rapid eye movement therapy, hypnotherapy and paradoxical strategic therapy by D. Nardone.
