One of the most popular advice given by modern psychologists is to "let go of the situation."

This is a fairly common and "proprietary" advice of various "gurus". "Let go of the situation and immediately feel better!"

Of course, no one explains how, for example, to get rid of a gnawing feeling of guilt or resentment against a person. Often, for years, a person lives with these feelings as with something paramount and significant, something that almost determines his life.

However, in a stressful situation, be it fear, conflict or something else, our body immediately makes itself felt by pressure or headache or heartache. When the body reacts, action must be taken urgently.

It is categorically wrong to believe that "there is such a science of psychosomatics that heals." A fundamentally wrong perception leads to all sorts of myths and legends. Psychosomatics cannot be called a science in its purest form, since it is rather a direction in medicine and psychology, already known since the 1950s. She studies and correlates various emotional experiences, psychological disorders with physical ailments.

However, many patients, instead of seeking medical help as soon as possible, prefer to google and relate the diseased organ to some kind of emotional trauma. Moreover, it is even dangerous! Since the emotion is so deeply hidden that a person cannot remember it ecologically. Anger, pain, resentment, fear … anything can signal information "about danger" to the brain and keep the body in tension for many years.

In fact, there are serious distortions in this matter. Belief in a miracle, as well as the fact that "pronouncing" a situation (problem) will help a person to improve his or her health or resolve a question, is precisely about a low-quality information resource. Although history knows many cases of miraculous healing, nevertheless, in most cases, miracles do not happen. Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Moscow State Medical University named after M. V. A. I. Sechenova Rodionov notes that

Can emotions affect health? Definitely yes. To be a cause is not. Negative emotions activate the sympathetic nervous system, which in turn leads to increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, and vasospasm. Everyone knows stories when, against the background of, for example, fear or anger, people had heart attacks and strokes. I repeat: emotion in this case is not the cause of the disease, but only a provoking factor, a trigger … However, chronic stress is a really proven risk factor for the development of at least cardiovascular diseases

The effectiveness of treatment for a psychosomatic illness reaches its height when the patient follows the instructions of his attending physician and at the same time undergoes a therapeutic course with a competent psychologist, working through emotional states, fears, anxieties, and negative messages.

Thus, despite the well-known phrase "all diseases are from the nerves" (which, by the way, has a continuation - "and only five from love"), it is very important to realize that psychotherapy alone cannot heal you from an illness. Since we are talking about the "seizure" of the body by the disease, and accordingly, for its treatment, "physical" components are needed (medicines, procedures, etc.!).

Neurosis as a psychoemotional disorder associated with a special reaction of the human psyche to some stimulus. There are a lot of forms and types of neuroses, and all of them, in one way or another, at some level can manifest themselves at the physical level. And since the true cause of neurosis is in the unconscious part of the human psyche, and that is why it is necessary to show patience and undergo healing of body and soul. That is, a person turns to a therapist with a complaint of high blood pressure, especially the diastolic (lower) pressure is alarming. For example, 130 to 100. Tachycardia is also associated with this. Having passed all the necessary tests, having clarified the clinical picture, a person undergoes a course of treatment at the physical level, and at the psychological level. Since the "hotbed of danger" or "anxiety" is in the subconscious, and a specialist must find the key for getting out of stuck emotions.

Thank you for attention!
