Negative thinking is something that can rob us of the energy we need to move on. For example, you think badly of yourself; you are not sure of something, something gnaws at you, and so on. Here are 5 ways to deal with negative thoughts.

1. Throw them away in the trash can

Take a piece of paper and write down negative thoughts. When done, crumple it up and discard it in the trash can. Better yet, if you burn at all. What does it mean? By doing this procedure, you label your negative thoughts as trash, or destroy them. When marked as trash, they no longer ruin your life.

2. Distract yourself properly.

The point is to distract yourself from destructive thoughts. But more often than not, people do it wrong. They try not to think about the white elephant (oh, just not to think about it). And a person walks like this, and constantly "does not think" about the white elephant, actually thinking about him. After all, it is very difficult not to think about the white elephant.

It is much more efficient to think of a pink elephant. When you want to get rid of bad thoughts, think good or keep yourself busy. There is some kind of bad thought - concentrating on work. Work is your pink elephant. Switch your thoughts to the pink elephant so you don't think about the white elephant.

3. Thank

As soon as we start to plunge into negative thoughts, as soon as we start procrastinating them, we need to thank someone or something. Even those circumstances or that person, because of which you have these thoughts.

Why? Because gratitude changes the vector. You had a negative vector. And gratitude, especially voiced, changes it to a positive one. And after a while you start thinking better and better. Plus, gratitude includes a resource state. This is wonderful magic and works well.

4. Look at the idea from the outside

The main problem in our thinking is that we equate the thoughts that we are scrolling in our head, and with ourselves. By separating our negative thoughts from ourselves, it will become much easier for us to endure this negative. A negative thought will cease to be us and become something else.

How to do it? For example, the statement: "I am a failure" can be replaced with: "I have such a thought in my head that I am a failure." Thus, separation will occur and it will be possible to look from the outside. You distance yourself from your thoughts and say to yourself: "I don't know if this is so, but I have such a thought now." And this is an open question, polemics are already possible here and there are arguments for and against.

5. Use them

If you cannot completely get rid of negative thoughts, then you should try to use them as a motive for action. For example, you think you are weak, get angry and prove otherwise, sign up for a gym. Act contrary to your own claims. Thus, you use bad thoughts for your own purposes, and you yourself will not notice how they disappear.
