I listen to the client and write awkward questions. I will never ask them to a disassembled client, he needs support now. But I'm looking for that very point of despair, so as not to touch it. See and walk around carefully.
I listen to the client and look for a feeling behind his words that will help to do this. Today he is stifled by resentment towards a loved one, but this feeling towards him is not the only one. Perhaps the feeling of gratitude will be immeasurably greater. Because there is always a feeling that is stronger. Love, gratitude, acceptance. And then there is respect, conscience, principles and human dignity.
These feelings and values are always adults. They are limitless, therefore they are incomparably greater than any offense.
After all, the choice in favor of resentment is about the child. I'm not going to talk about this to a client who is very difficult right now. I will help him discover his strong feelings, his right to choose and his dignity. And he himself will win.
Strong feelings need to be reached, courageous, and made an effort. This can be very difficult for me too. Sometimes you want to destroy someone out of your despair. Adult feelings and values are the very jump over despair. And my belief that they are stronger is also a jump every time.
