When The Prince Is Stronger Than The Warrior

If the behavior of women is to a greater extent an emotional game, learned from early childhood, then in men the social manner is determined by deep formations associated with innate instincts, which are either somewhat leveled out in early childhood, or, more often, are supported by the conditions of life and upbringing.

The famous psychophysiologist S. L. Rubinstein noted that it is the dominant instincts that give a peculiar coloring to the personality, and singled out seven main ones:

1 - dominance;

2 - dignity;

3 - altruism;

4 - self-preservation;

5 - freedom;

6 - research;

7 - procreation.

According to these instincts, seven types of behavior were identified and, drawing a parallel between the instincts and the behavior of men, they gave them conventional names: king, prince, knight, troubadour, warrior, astrologer, majordomo. These types in their pure form in a person are extremely rare, more often in one person two, three types intersect in different percentages.

King. He is active, aggressive and tries to dominate even in small things. His motto can be considered: "Everyone should love me the way I am!" He sincerely considers himself strong and almost omnipotent: he can book a table in a prestigious restaurant and arrange a meeting with the right people. The king always tries to have the last word with him. He knows everything: how to treat the flu, how to raise children, where to spend vacations, what accessories are better … He equally easily gets angry and uses his experience for the benefit of others. When faced with setbacks, he carefully conceals his depression and insecurity, denying that he has any weaknesses. The pursuit of leadership can completely suppress the tendency towards altruism.

Do you want to weaken the King's opinion? Strip it and continue. And the King himself would be nice to remember the expression: "The king is made by the retinue!" - it is difficult to remain a monarch if the retinue has fled.

Prince. It is rather not a type, but a transitional state. The prince is characterized by long monologues-reasoning about life's adversities and the vicissitudes of fate, in which circumstances or other people are to blame. He is accompanied by a whole bunch of troubles: divorce, mental and / or physical trauma, injustice, bad luck, etc. It is difficult for him to come to terms with the fact that human capabilities are limited. He, of course, tries to control the situation, denying himself and, possibly, others in emotions and joy, adhering to the principle: "Expect the worst - the best will come to you by itself!" This could be inscribed on his flag as a motto. For the constant striving for perfection, he pays with suffering that could have been avoided. He has a constant sense of guilt for not keeping up with the high bar that he set for himself. Out of despair, he is capable of impulsive actions, tk. effectively knows how to suppress the instinct of self-preservation. These are Princes jumping into the water from a bridge, riding motorcycles without a helmet. The prince must understand that becoming a King is possible only under one condition: learning to take responsibility for oneself. Responsibility for everything that happens to him and in his life. A difficult task, but quite doable.

Knight. The opposite type to the Prince, there is hyperresponsibility for everything: family, friends, the world as a whole. Clear logical thinking, the ability to prioritize tasks, energy - allow him to move forward without mistakes. You can rely on the Knight, he always fulfills the given word, even to the detriment of personal interests. He devotes a lot of time to sports or other healthy hobbies. Possessing good intuition, the Knight is pleased to guess the desires of others and surprise them. Other people are at the center of his life. His motto could be the expression: "I am needed, therefore, I exist!" He is perfectly generous and hopelessly vulnerable. Many manipulators use his energy to achieve their goals. In addition, the Knight, wanting to please others, neglects his own needs and can completely suppress the instinct of freedom. It is vitally important for a knight to think at least sometimes about what he personally needs.

Troubadour. A fan of aesthetics, originality and grace. He dreams of changing the world, everyday life has no meaning for him. In his daily life, there is some distant project that is difficult to implement, but you can talk about it from evening to morning. Many consider him an incorrigible romantic, but he himself subconsciously believes in the uniqueness of his fate. The troubadour believes in omens, easily makes oaths, boldly puts forward original ideas, is inclined to creativity: he writes poetry, plays the guitar, draws, etc. The more pronounced the type, the more exotic the Troubadour will have. The fast pace of life, the search for variety and new sensations (the picture of the world in front of your eyes must constantly change), lead to the fact that the Troubadour takes on several tasks at the same time and forgets to complete at least one of them. He can ignore the instinct of dignity - they came up with the expression: "Everything suits the scoundrel", and, of course, the instinct of procreation: he simply does not have time for family, children, and long-term relationships with one person seem trivial and boring to him. The troubadour is the adornment of society! His motto: "Do not be afraid to lose, be afraid not to find!" Like a liana, he needs a reliable rod, the trunk and branches of which will hold and accentuate his beauty, remaining in the shadows and not interfering with his splendor.

Warrior. His life is a struggle. He lives only in action, is angry and seeks to achieve only positive results. The warrior is not able to stop, tk. a pause for him is equal to death, or boredom. It is vital for him to constantly conquer something, organize, distribute, create. His goal is to succeed in life. It perfectly adapts to any conditions of existence. There are no problems for the Warrior, there is only a choice between solutions! His motto: "Life is a movement towards victory!" Of course, such an active life position fascinates, but the biological resources of the body, unfortunately, are not unlimited. When they end, the Warrior turns into a quarrelsome, depressed person before our eyes, ceases to be like himself. Uncertainty is masked by cynicism. A deflated balloon is a pitiful sight! The danger of this type is that it actively suppresses the instinct of self-preservation, neglecting the most precious thing - health. The warrior must learn to take time out and temporarily put up with the imperfections around him.

Astrologer. Imagine a calm person who likes to be alone for a long time. Nice, friendly, but in order to feel good, he must spend as much time alone as in communication with others, incl. and with loved ones. The astrologer does not like empty chatter, in everything he "tries to reach the very essence." He is comfortable in the role of observing and listening. Learning new things is one of the main stimuli in his life. "Learning is light" - this is the motto that regulates his life. And woe to the one who invades his intimate and personal space without permission. Therefore, in friendship, he is cautious and conservative. In a crisis situation, it is not that he remains calm, he "freezes", which is perceived by others as coldness and alienation. In an effort to explore a huge immense world, the Stargazer suppresses the instinct of procreation. Therefore, it is useful for him from time to time to seriously think about who will carry the spark of the light of knowledge to the dark kingdom of ignorance after him.

Majordomo. Usually Majordomo achieved everything in life himself. At work, he is appreciated, colleagues respect him, although sometimes they make fun of him. In life, he seeks harmony and agreement, avoids conflicts and avoids situations that can hurt another. His motto is: "My home is my castle." And indeed, home and family are of paramount importance to him. He does everything first in the name of the family, and only then for himself. Striving for the future prevents him from understanding his true feelings and is dangerous because the Majordomo is "sprayed" on trifles, and his unique life, meanwhile, passes by, because he suppresses the instinct for domination. But, if the Majordomo even occasionally does something for himself personally, including healthy male egoism, then everyone will only benefit from this.
