The simplest explanation for profiling is making a profile of this or that person. But on the basis of what methods - this is already a tool of the one who compiles this description. Habitual and ubiquitous, if viewed in everyday communication, we draw conclusions about a person based on how he speaks and how he looks. These are absolutely intuitive personal acceptance, both general and private. If we complicate this in more professional language, then we all intuitively (unconsciously or unconsciously) use physiognomy and non-verbal. But for me, these techniques are professional tools, tested by time, experience, feedback and results in the areas where I use them.

Most often, this is my involvement, as an accompanying negotiator. My task is to compile a psychological profile of the customer's opponent in a short time, find strengths and weaknesses in it and inform the customer about it. Here, as a basis, physiognomy is used. Stage number two - identifying non-verbal leaks and mismatches: the speaker is confident in his promises or lies without batting an eye - all this is not difficult to identify. It is not difficult - if you can not only look, but also see.

These two methods complement each other so amazingly that I see no reason to use either one. Sometimes, having received an order to process only non-verbal data, knowledge of physiognomy helps in confirming certain conclusions. For example, a person is initially prone to lying. Or he is left-handed, while it is difficult to draw a conclusion from the video. And these data completely change the picture or … make it susceptible.

We are not talking about criminal profiling now, if you still remember that I mentioned American detective series. In my case, I'm talking about psychological profiling, which can be used wherever there is communication between people and the need to establish it.

Thus, you can compose a description of the character traits of any person, and even a child from a certain age. The most unique and surprising: this description can be made only from a photo or just from a video! Magic? No, just experience and … experience).

So, the application of these techniques by me: the sphere of personnel selection (management), interpersonal relationships (diagnostics of relationships), career guidance by a teenager, individual analyzes of people in order to identify their strengths and weaknesses of character, as well as those traits that are given from birth, and what manifested with time.
