From the point of view of psychoanalysis, the statement of Mrs. Nikki Haley to the journalists of the NBC News channel means that she, apparently, has many fears and phobias, including unconscious ones, congenital, which are passed down from generation to generation. It would be appropriate to separate the external aspect of the situation from the universal one. As a politician, Haley kind of voiced the "party course" - the same could be said by many US politicians about their attitude to Russia. This, of course, has nothing to do with human contacts. Americans admire Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Russian ballet. We admire their technological inventions. And Haley is not only a politician, she is a woman, wife, mother of her children, daughter of her parents. And the person who was formed during the Cold War, when fear was in the air, suffice it to recall the Cuban missile crisis, the confrontation between two empires - the United States and the Soviet Union, when Americans were taught to hide in a bomb shelter, and the world was really on the verge of war. These situational fears, which were superimposed on archaic, that is, on the fears of ancestors, formed a generation that thinks in terms of "friend or foe". A stranger is always a danger, anxiety.

If you ask any Russian politician: "Do you trust American politicians?", They will probably also say that they do not, because they have repeatedly broken their promises. US President Ronald Reagan liked to repeat our Russian proverb: "Trust but verify." Trust is a fragile condition that takes years to develop, but it breaks down very easily. Does the child trust the mother, does the employee trust the leader, and the citizen trust the president? At all levels, trust is a very fragile "substance". The events of recent years indicate that trust at the political level has been reduced to zero, and this is recognized by our politicians, diplomats, and the Americans. But humanly, each of us craves trust. We want to open up, talk. This is the only way to get rid of fear. In this case, I would wish Mrs. Haley, who, as an educated person, is probably a fan of Russian literature and ballet, to get acquainted with the Russian Foreign Minister, Mr. Lavrov, as soon as possible, he will charm her and everything will be fine - we will cease to be terrible and alien to her. At the very least, her personal fears of Russia will go away.

In general, the current situation in the world reveals all the hidden fears of the enemy, of the war, of the atomic bomb. The fear of death is a deep fear, like the fear of losing loved ones, of one's own self-destruction. They exist at the genetic level, from the ancestors we get not only constitutional features and character, but also the unconscious - this is proven by science. That is, all the unconscious fears of our grandparents are present in us. And as soon as an external stimulus appears, a trigger, this fear opens. And we don't even understand why we are afraid. The situation is being escalated through the media, including through biased ones, through the statements of politicians. A very important nuance. Ms Haley said Russia should never be trusted. Never - it's categorical and scary. This word carries many connotations and they are all destructive, intensifying the feeling of fear. Of course, this is all manipulative. After all, the United States needs to establish itself - that's how strong we are! That is, an approach from a criminalized society is applied, where only the strong is right and must be reckoned with. But history has shown more than once that you shouldn't come to Russia to show your strength. Those who try to do so are overwhelmingly defeated. And the United States is aware of this. Another mystery for them remains - why difficulties unite us, why we always go from the opposite. For example, we are accused of hacking. In our response to this … self-esteem grows - that's how cool we are! In fact, these methods of obtaining information are practiced by all intelligence agencies in the world. And our strength is not at all in this. Russia has gone through so much suffering, tragedies and wars that from the point of view of the formed deep structures, mentality, fortitude, there is no other country like this in the world.

At the same time, we are not standing still - Russia is developing. Let's take the latest CNN film "The most powerful man on earth is Vladimir Putin." Perhaps he causes archaic fears in foreign viewers, which I have already mentioned, because on the screen there is a real person who does not just speak - he does, he wins. That is, it is the force to be reckoned with. And the Americans, if we are talking about psychology, are beginning to complex that now they will not be recognized, they will not be reckoned with. After all, each of us, even in ordinary life, wants to be weighty so that we are reckoned with - colleagues, partners, children, parents. If we receive this recognition, we become confident. Sometimes we want to force others to be recognized, we insist on this. Maybe this is a little childish and childish, but in the case of Mrs. Haley's statement, we are witnessing just such a situation.

Of course, thinking people see and hear more than the media show them. Many today want to get out of the joint zombie state, get their own authenticity, have their own opinion, immunity against "zombie". This is more difficult for the Americans than for the Russians. After all, nothing has changed for them lately. And we have gone through perestroika, post-perestroika, the market of the 90s and much more. We broke patterns, stereotypes, paradigms, attitudes, and ideological ones in the first place. With pain, blood, blows to the most painful places, but we did it and became stronger. And together. And separately.

In conclusion, I would like to address Mrs. Haley with words of love and respect and invite us to visit us for a cup of tea. Over a bit of tea, I'm sure we will find a common language and start building trust between us. Trust is never too late to return!
