Today, there are more and more cases of early pregnancy! This becomes stressful not only for the child, but for the whole family, because not all parents are ready to accept the fact that their children, on whom a lot of hopes were pinned, will already have their own baby
Before we start talking about adolescents, let's determine what age is optimal for the first pregnancy. Most doctors say that it is 22-25 years old, some physiologists put earlier boundaries - 18-25 years. I, as a psychologist, believe that the most favorable age is when the psychological maturation of the personality occurs, that is, the mother is ready to give birth herself, without pressure from relatives, society and other factors. In our time, this happens somewhere around the age of 30.
Now let's move on to early pregnancy. As a rule, this happens regardless of the child's plans and beliefs. Early pregnancy is considered to be from 13 to 18 years old; in some cases, the lower limit may be further reduced. When such a situation occurs, it greatly perplexes both the children themselves and their parents.
Early pregnancy has a lot of difficulties, among which there are both physiological and psychological factors. The first include a destabilized hormonal background, the possibility of miscarriage, an increased risk of polyhydramnios, an increased risk of mortality, low birth weight, and much more, the second - unwillingness to be a mom and dad, severe postpartum depression, difficulties in relationships with parents, up to the lack of support from them, problems with self-realization in society, social maladjustment, etc.
Despite these risks, doctors do not recommend abortion. Psychologists are also inclined to this opinion, even the thought of abortion contributes to the development of a propensity in the unborn child to depression and suicide.
What to do with early pregnancy?
But the fact that pregnancy is successful and motherhood is happy is influenced by the following factors:
- peculiarities of relations with relatives, especially with a mother;
- attitude to the situation, because psychologists - psychosomatics have already proved that pessimism even affects immunity;
- passivity: a narrow social circle, lack of intellectual effort, a high level of anxiety, minimal psychological flexibility.
Early pregnancy should be carefully monitored by doctors, parents, in turn, should ensure that the girl adheres to all the rules and recommendations. An excellent assistant will be courses for preparing for childbirth, where a young mother can find new friends for herself, she will understand that pregnancy may not be a problem, but a joy. In addition, the girl will receive a lot of valuable information about the psychophysiology of pregnancy, childbirth itself, how to take care of a child, and much more. An individual consultation with a psychologist will be no less valuable.
Parents should understand that one cannot reproach the child, force her to solve the “problem” herself, since otherwise fears may arise, the negative consequences of which are difficult to convey in sentences alone.
Very often, parents force young mothers and fathers to start a family, and also often a young couple does not need it. As a result, not only will teenagers not be happy, but they will also make the child unhappy.
A young mother needs to learn how to properly organize her time, both during and after pregnancy. Parents can help their daughter with this, because no one said that it is necessary to put an end to education, personal life and career. Unfortunately, this stereotype in behavior ruined the life of more than one woman, regardless of the age at which her first pregnancy was.
Dear girls! If it so happens that at such a young age you are going to become a mother, do not despair, love yourself and your child, and the future will always be open for you!

Every time I hear from my next acquaintances “I went to a therapist, his advice did not help,” inside myself I begin to slowly grind the Whatman paper to paper dust. The complete calm of a sunny morning remains on the surface of the face, and I try to explain that this was simply not a therapist.

The Girl Who Grew Up Too Early
One of the saddest stories to come across in therapy is the story of a girl who became an adult too early. A girl who had to become a mother for her infantile mother, because she had no other choice, no right to declare her desires. The girl who didn't have a childhood.
