In the process of training, every psychologist or psychotherapist, in order to become a professional, undergoes serious training. Teachers pay a lot of attention to questions related to theory and practice. Everything is invested in becoming a real professional. And here you are - a graduate, and you can start to really work. To practice. The question arises: where to get customers, how to attract them? You feel confused. But - do not despair and follow the proven path. You contact your friends, ask them for recommendations and wait for it to work. However, this option is not the most reliable one.

First, acquaintances are not always interested.

Secondly, they are forgetful.

Third, everyone is busy with their own problems.

Therefore, the result is usually not very satisfying. It's good if 2-3 clients come. Therefore, we need to be more active. As it was sung in the song - fate caresses the young and zealous. The whole world is for them.

How and where to attract customers?

Where? On the Internet, of course. How? Place high-quality content on its open spaces, demonstrate your expertise and willingness to work. You start by studying the issue - and you realize that many colleagues are already making themselves known there, the competition is high, many have already gone far, and you cannot catch up with them. They can be conditionally divided into several categories:

  • those who write their own articles withstand the competition, risk being discounted or ignored;
  • those who regularly post and articles from respected colleagues, hoping to generate a strong association with the authors of these articles;

  • those who timidly watch this process and cheerfully like everything that they themselves would like to write, but do not know how to express everything that I want to say so beautifully, and wait for inspiration and courage to come and they themselves will write the same wonderful posts and start attracting customers.

Of course, I want to be in the first category, learn to write and take the risk of posting, withstand competition, accept ignore and devaluation with dignity. So that your words provoke the client:

  • trust in you as a specialist;
  • understanding that you are an expert in this topic;
  • desire to appeal specifically to you;
  • and to be addressed.

When you know how to present yourself in the best light, place the right accents, your professional life becomes realized - everything works for you

  • posts like;
  • professionalism is confirmed;
  • the client base is growing;
  • a decent payment is guaranteed.

You understand that you are in the third category, well, maybe already in the second, but you want to make a quantum leap and jump into the first. After all, this is the only way to achieve your goal and become a real professional - if you post high-quality, unique content on working resources.

What are the challenges facing the newbie?

The first is to learn to express your thoughts clearly and clearly;

the second is to learn how to structure your material;

the third is to learn how to present your material in an interesting way;

fourth - to cope with the feeling of fear;

fifth - to cope with the feeling of powerlessness;

sixth - to cope with envy;

seventh - to withstand the competition;

eighth is to deal with depreciation in comments.

The scope of work is impressive. It becomes alarming. It is not clear how to approach this. But you need to start. As the well-known proverb says: to be afraid of wolves - do not go to the forest.

What will help to cope with feelings of fear, powerlessness, envy? First of all - understanding:

  • that it is really difficult and requires a certain cost from you;
  • that everyone started and were newbies;
  • that not all potential clients have found their specialists. Many are still searching;
  • that the skill to write in a structured, beautiful and interesting way is developed in the same way as all other skills. Give yourself time - and it will surely form in you;
  • that it is normal to be afraid of the unknown. Understanding how to do it correctly will help to cope with it. There is no need to invent a bicycle. Find a mentor to help you master the job;
  • that mistakes bring not only chagrin, but also experience. Be sure to work on bugs;
  • that powerlessness and jealousy will pass as you learn, advance and find your clients;
  • that discounting comments are the prose of online life. Turn on the reality testing mode and draw the right conclusions;

  • what is most important is to take concrete steps every day to advance towards your goal, regularly hone your writing skills in a beautiful, structured and interesting way.

And finally - about the competition … Above I already wrote that the fantasy about long-dismantled clients and the need to fight for each of them with colleagues is greatly exaggerated. Here you need to shift the focus from competition to understanding the needs and pains of the client. Each person is unique and for such work is looking for a specialist thoughtfully and with caution, because he wants to discuss and comprehend topics that he finds it difficult to talk about with family and friends. He reads texts in the hope of finding someone who will understand him, will not condemn him, withstand aggression, powerlessness, etc. It's like reading a book - and one gets the impression that it was written about you. This inspires confidence in the author, and I would like to get to know him better and discuss with him the issues that concern you. Only under such conditions is a meeting possible.

The Internet is the World Wide Web. It is easy to get lost in it, get lost and not find each other. Therefore, you need to learn how to build a route, clearly indicate landmarks, a meeting place - and then everything will work out for you.
