Sustainable attitude of the coach towards himsel
It is known that in any business you need to start, first of all, with yourself. By keeping your internal system constructive and sustainable, it is much easier to treat your surroundings in the same way.
Most often, this can be achieved by adhering to some principles in your practice:
1. Take a feasible and comfortable number of parallel orders. Of course, everyone has their own amount and money is always needed:)
But remember this:
- about burnout, professional and psychological. Nobody canceled it:)
- the quality of the services provided (coaching is more "manual work" than a conveyor belt)
2. Know how to refuse clients "unsuitable" for you
3. One of the facets of environmental coaching is working with a conscious part of our "I".
Avoid coaching clients in need of psychotherapy. There are other methods for this and possibly other specialists:)
Environmentally friendly attitude towards customers
Each person is a system that has its own internal ecology. You can break it even if you want the best for the client.
1. Do not violate another person's system with your advice, beliefs, your own rules and worldview …
Otherwise, it is very likely that as a result of your sessions, the client will achieve your goals, the coach:)
If you are really unbearable to suggest, advise, direct something, stop and think, perhaps the client is not yet ready to "jump over 3 steps"?
Remember that each person already has all the resources and all the abilities to find the best solution to his problem himself.
2. Try to maintain a pace that is comfortable for the client and effective for him.
This tempo, by the way, may differ from your usual one. Don't be upset or angry with the client:)
3. Stick to the terms of the contract in your work.
This will give the client a sense of safety and security, and will help establish and maintain a relationship of trust as they work.
Environmental friendliness in relation to the profession of "coach"
Environmental friendliness in relation to the profession for me is determined by one sentence -
Coaching is a Profession, albeit young … and not "what we did 30 years ago, we just called it differently":)
I am for the fact that it is still necessary to learn coaching.
Even with a degree in psychology, 20 years of experience as a top manager, or a wealth of life experience …
At least - in order not to turn the coaching session into a psychotherapy session, into an interview, an assessment for professional suitability or stress resistance:)
