Muscle carapace = Psychological carapace
Unlived emotions are stored in the body, like in a barn. To keep them, muscles are connected, which, by straining, limit the free expression of emotions and the flow of energy.
Body-oriented psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich writes: "All patients said that they went through periods of their childhood when they suppressed their hatred, anxiety or dislike through certain actions - such as holding their breath, tightening the abdominal muscles …".
In the course of his work, Reich discovered a muscle carapace in patients, which consists of 7 encircling segments. He considered the weakening of this muscular carapace to be a cure.
The therapist taught patients to increase the tension in the muscle in order to feel it and become aware of the emotion that is held by this part of the body.
In the course of the experiments, it was found that only after the release of the repressed emotion - a person is able to give up chronic clamping.
Reich stated: “The following areas of the body inhibit the corresponding reactions:
1. Eyes - crying;
2. Mouth - crying, screaming, anger;
3. Neck - anger, screaming, crying, disgust;
4. Chest, shoulders, arms - laughter, anger, sadness and passion;
5. Diaphragm - intense anger;
6. Belly - anger and dislike; Back - fear of attack;
7. Pelvis - feelings of sexual satisfaction and anger."
The scientist has repeatedly pointed out the connection between mental and bodily processes. After all, the soul and body are one. Where the soul cannot cope, the body rushes to the rescue.
In my future publications, I will try to go through each segment of the muscle shell and show the cause of some psychosomatic diseases.
Psychosomatics of headache
What's behind the headache?
1. Unexpressed emotions and unmet needs lead to muscle clamps that compress blood vessels and nerves.
2. People attach great importance to the mind, which leads to an overload of the head.
3. Sometimes a person demands from himself transcendental heights and then the head begins to "split".
4. Sometimes the body reflects a state, which is expressed by the phrase: "this is a continuous headache." When a person brings a lot of trouble and burdens with his problems. From such a person, the head really starts to ache.
5. The headache relieves you of responsibilities, such as having sex with your husband.
6. Fear gives rise to anxiety, tension and headache.
My example. My head hurts when I suppress negative feelings (irritation, anger) and do not bring them out to the person to whom they are addressed. I suppress emotions, and the body presses the vessels of the head.
Louise Hay: “… headaches are caused by feelings of inadequacy. The person scolds and criticizes himself and is afraid of the future."
Liz Burbo: “… the head is directly related to the Personality of a person. Pain in the head suggests that a person is hitting himself on the head with reproaches and low marks … "" The head contains the organs of four of the five senses. The pain in it makes it difficult to see, hear, smell, taste and say what meets your true needs - that is, to be yourself."
Valery Sinelnikov: “… pain is a warning about the need to draw attention to yourself. For example, fatigue has accumulated, but you want to complete the work. Your subconscious mind decides that you need rest, and gives you a headache, thereby saving you from overload and self-destruction."
